Beauty of SLIET

Campus , infrastructure, affordability of courses, location , Gym , Hostel , SAC

Bad quality students , Students are not allowed to keep vehicle inside college

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from 7th sem . Companies like L&T , Jindal steel , Mahindra , tata , Wipro , adani , HUL , creamica , cocacola etc. Package offers by these companies range from 3-12 lakhs depends upon capabilities of students. Highest package is 18 lakhs and average is 3.4 lakhs .Now percentage of students getting placed is changing means it is improving. Firstly I would try for campus placement during my degree.

Sliet experience in BE mechanical

Likes

Hostel life at boys hostel 10. Its very good and we can also play games with seniors who is in masters or phd.
Lab facility is awesome. In workshop of our department we have very good machines in working conditions.
Campus is very big. You will fell very connected to nature.

Dislikes

Campus is outside of city. About 25 kms from sangrur.
Hostel have timings that you have not to go out of hostel after 9:30.
Some faculty are not teaches good and they check examination copy by matching the answer of numerical.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is very good for students who study. They will easily get placed. If you are not a good studying student you will get a placement of 3 to 4 lakhs/year. More than 50% of students get placed.

Complete Review of sliet

Likes

I like infrastructure and buildings in sliet.
I like swimming pool facility in sliet campus.
I like environment trees and graden in sliet campus.

Dislikes

Campus is so big that creates problem during traveling.
After Placement salary is not up to the mark.
Uses of workshop is less in sliet campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For getting a good job and good salary. Over a hundred facilities are working here. For 3000 students. Faculty have good qualification level. Every Faculty member completed his Ph.D. course in different fields. The exam was conducted over the given time. It's easy to pass exams.

Dislikes

Its Location is longowal which is not well known by companies
It requires more shops and facilities as it is in remote area

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose my course on the basis of my rank in the JEE exam. I was getting mechanical, chemical, food, and instrumentation branches from which I was more interested in chemicals. Chemical branch teachers are also very supportive and experienced. They are well qualified. Exams are held timely mainly minors and majors every semester. Two minors and one major each semester.

Sliet - Unveiling the journey

Likes

I liked the campus here which is huge of 451 acres . There is so much greenery and peace .
Each individual can focus on their own thing and individual dreams .
There is not much pressure of Academics and college is supportive in every aspect

Dislikes

There is too much rules and regulations which sometimes feels so irritating.
There is jee mains and lateral entry students which sometimes not feel strong bond together.
There is not much exposure to market . Like you have to travel around 20km to watch even a movie

Course Curriculum Overview:

I Choose instrumentation and control engineering so that I can learn about microprocessors and control systems. It's a quite interesting topic. Here the faculty-student ratio is about 50:1. Most of the faculties are PhD scholars from prestigious institutions and some have masters. The teaching method is good.

The infrastructure of this college is compete with some nits this thing i liked
Campus life is good enough there are all facility available for the students inside the college ther basics needs things shops and all
Faculty are qualified and friendly in nature

Dislikes

I dont like the cufew timming for girls which is 7 pm
Average package is disappointing like Amazon and Microsoft has not visited here

Placement Experience:

In 8 semesters students are eligible to grab campus placement wipro Samsung Land T and many more tech and non-tech companies visited this college good enough number Of the offers offered by the company highest package is 35 lakh and the average is 4 to 5 lakh

Sliet Longowal - An Interesting College

Likes

I liked the environment of the college very much Greenery and biodiversity can be seen there very clearly.
The gate of the Sliet called duggan gate is quite interesting in evening and people will help you there very much

Dislikes

The College Internal Conspiracy the politics the khalistani all are at its peak there inside the college

Placement Experience:

The package and average package of our college are 6-8 lakhs per annum and the highest to date 24 lakh. This is very little. You are not born for this achieve some good college IIT or nit. You will find as bored and your all skills will be without productivity that's why opt for others.

CAMPUS- here it is full of greenery if you are nature lover then this is best college.
Education - here faculty and curriculum is good .faculties are best in their domain and too experienced.
Clubs- here you get every opportunities to grow yourself, learn and explore.

Dislikes

Placement- placement should be increase and average package should be grow
Internship - more companies should be come for internship

Here placement is good. here more than 110 companies visit every year. the main thing about placement is to focus on your skills as much as you can to get a decent package. here company visits are Amazon, Cognizant, HCL, Infosys, IBM, IBM etc. The good thing is that here every year placement rate is increasing. here 90% got placement some prefer for GATE, UPSC and another exam.

The placement of SLIET is quite good as it provides good placements average package of 4.5 LPA AND the highest is about 20 LPA. A lot of companies visit mostly local North Indian companies. The percentage of students placed is about 80-90%.

I like the beauty of this campus and the faculty members are very humble and helpful.

Dislikes

Placements of this college are very low .

Placement Experience:

Although SLIET provide 85% placement percentage but the highest package and median package in 2022 stood at 18LPA and 4.5LPA respectively which pretty low based on a NIRF ranking of SLIET. Companies like Capgemini, Wipro , Infosys hires students but the package is very low like 3.5-7.5LPA.
