Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I was very curious about computers in my school days. That's why I decided to go for higher studies in Computer Science. In college, the ratio of faculty and students is fine. Faculty members are good.

Class Size: 140Course Fees: INR 268000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement of the college is good. Companies like Jio, Wipro, TCS, Capgemini, etc. have arrived at our college to give PPO and on-campus placement offers to provide students placement in the required domain.

Fees and Financial Aid

You have to pay an annual fee of 67000 with a hostel fee 7000 if you decide to reside in the hostel. You have to pay extra charges for every electric appliance you will be using in the hostel during your stay.

Campus Life

The life on campus is very good. You get many clubs like Endeavours, SSDS, Mavericks, etc, which gives you extra exposure. Sports include volleyball, basketball, table tennis, lawn tennis, badminton, etc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are very good you get 27/7 free high speed Wi-Fi. You can work on any project without the worry of your data being exhausted. The hostel warden are very supportive in nature. This will give you an inhanced experience.

Admission

I appeared for the JEE Mains exam. Then I filled for counselling in Jossa where I was allotted Computer Science at Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology. I have enrolled in the institute under the SC category.

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is good and it is improving since then. TPO looks after this process and it is responsible to call comapnies to the college and discuss about the eligibility of the students who can appear for the placements. For internships, students in the 3rd year appear for it while for placements 4th year students can appear. The average package is approx. 8-9 LPA while the highest has gone to 64 LPA during my college duration. Almost all students get placement.

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

It gives excellent placement offers with around 270 companies visits. The highest package for 2025 passng batch is 54LPA with a average package of 10 to 12 LPA. Top companies like google , apple ,microsoft,amzon ,Barclays ,deloitte and many more offers in thapar.

Sliet Journals : Must for bigginers

Placement Experience:

College does provide a decent number of companies to students to get placed but as per seniors Companies come with good package but students fail to grab them. Students are eligible for placement form 7th semester. As data given to us from t&p for this year currently the minimum package is 6 lpa and average is touching 8 but don't get excited it's just the starting months of placement season. My plan is to get a good college for post grad as that was my plan from the start ??

I only looked for government colleges as they are affordable and well-reputed. I applied for several colleges and got selected for IIFPT Thanjavur and GGU Bilaspur but I wanted to study mechanical engineering and out of all options, this college was best known for its mechanical engineering course and lab facilities.
