Likes

It's infrastructure is very good it is full of greenary.
There is separate hostel for boys and girls. There is also a complex in the institute for the student's where they can get everything they need.
Campus life is good .the faculties are well educated and cooperative with their students.

Dislikes

Market is very far from the campus and the student's have to wait for the bus for many hour's
Medical facilities is not good. Hospital is far from the college
Average student have to work hard for their placement .

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is so exciting that you have to face real-life problems and then generate solutions to them, which will help future generations. The ratio of faculty to students is 1:4. Qualification of the faculty is they are professionals and PhD Scholars. They have good knowledge of their subjects and they teach in a very good manner. Terms exams are held in two ways: two are internal and one is external.

Class Size: 36Course Fees: INR 35000 per year

Internships Opportunities

L&T, JSW, and many companies offered internships with stipends. Projects related to their curriculum in which the students have to put their theory as well as practical knowledge for the completion of the project through which the company sees the student's concentration, dedication, and punctuality for their work.

Placement Experience

Students can apply for campus placement after their diploma and BE. L&T, KHANNA PAPER MILLS, JSW 50 Lakh 90 percent Students are placed. My plan after getting the degree is to have campus placement in a good company.

Fees and Financial Aid

In comparison to other colleges, the fee structure is much less that is 4 lakh for the whole program. The toppers for the entrance exam can get a scholarship from the college which is called TFW(Tuition Fee Wavier). The average package is up to 5 lakh.

Campus Life

Annual fest is known as social fest, cultural fest or it is conducted in October or November. Tech Fest is held in March or April. The availability of books is more than 2000. There are many social groups named (NSS, Science Club).

Admission

The entrance exam is divided into 3 categories. The 1st category consists of computer science electronics and electrical engineering, and the second one consists of mechanical, and the third one consists of food and chemical. You will have the flexibility to change the department only in the same group. Students can apply after the matriculation and after the 12th or those who can opt. for the JEE MAINS can also apply for the entrance.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

I only looked for government colleges as they are affordable and well-reputed. I applied for several colleges and got selected for IIFPT Thanjavur and GGU Bilaspur but I wanted to study mechanical engineering and out of all options, this college was best known for its mechanical engineering course and lab facilities. I choose this college honestly as it was a centeral government college under josaa and has significantly less fees which would help me save for my master's . I applied in sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology in first seven round but I got electronic engineering which I didn't want, so I waited for special round and then I got Computer science. I am in general so I didn't get any quota for admission but obc and sc st have quota in the college. To get into sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology, you have to give entrance exam and the cut off of the college generally goes around 130-140 for general category.
