Course Curriculum Overview

I have a very much interest in chemistry, so I chose chemical engineering is very different from chemistry. The faculty is very good and most of them are graduated from IITs. In our college exam levels are moderate, after Every 1.5 months we have a minor exam and the end semester exam.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 62000 per year

Internships Opportunities

In our college company most come for the role of graduate engineering trainee during the internship different companies pay different amounts but that will be in the range of 15k to 20 for six months. Then after training, they provide jobs according to their experience

Placement Experience

In my college, about 50 percentage students get placed every year but the average package is not very good, some big companies also visit to our college during the placement drive. I am planning to master's from IITs so I am not focusing on placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are very nominal as compared to other colleges because it is centrally funded University. I got an Indian Academy of science fellowship during my summer internship and also got a stipend of 12500 In our college placement are moderate level

Campus Life

Our college is located away from the city (15 km ) near Longowl village it has a big campus, the atmosphere of the college is very good. You can get books from the library and we have a reading hall also. In our college, there are more than 15 clubs which are run by students and faculty members, and also our college has a big sports ground for cricket, football, basketball, etc.

Hostel Facilities

In the hostel you will get a 3 seater room, and a single seater for final year students, having bed table chair and fan, mess menu is nit good. You apply for a hostel by sending mail to the warden of the hostel. In every hostel there are guards and BHS who take care of students.

Hostel Fee: INR 7000 per year

Admission

At my college, you can be admitted through jee main after 10+2 and Leet entry for a diploma (10+3), for jee main you can apply through Josaa and CSAB and for Leet you can apply to our college website, the form will be released on March.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

I only looked for government colleges as they are affordable and well-reputed. I choose this college honestly as it was a centeral government college under josaa and has significantly less fees which would help me save for my master's . I applied in sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology in first seven round but I got electronic engineering which I didn't want, so I waited for special round and then I got Computer science. I am in general so I didn't get any quota for admission but obc and sc st have quota in the college. To get into sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology, you have to give entrance exam and the cut off of the college generally goes around 130-140 for general category.
