Campus Life and Opportunities at Lovely Professional University

Our college strictly follows a no ragging policy to ensure a safe and respectful environment for every student. Seniors and juniors share a friendly bond, and any act of ragging is not tolerated, making the campus secure for all.
At our college, students get the chance to explore and participate in a wide variety of sports, from cricket and football to athletics and indoor games. The facilities encourage fitness, teamwork, and talent development, creating a healthy spirit.
Our college takes pride in offering quality teaching through experienced faculty who focus on both knowledge and practical learning. With modern teaching methods, guidance, and support, students are prepared for academic excellence and success.

Dislikes

One thing I dislike about my college is the strict 75% attendance rule. It often feels like it limits flexibility for students, leaving less room for personal growth, internships, or other learning opportunities outside classrooms.
The mess food is another drawback for me. The meals are usually bland with very little spice, and the menu is dominated by North Indian dishes. It becomes repetitive and difficult for those of us who crave more variety in taste.
What I also dislike is the absence of non-veg options in campus food stalls. Many of us enjoy good-tasting non-veg meals, and not having them on campus feels restrictive, especially when the available food lacks variety.

Placement Experience:

Students at LPU become eligible for placements from the 6th semester. Many top companies visit, offering varied profiles with competitive packages. A good percentage of students get placed. After my degree, I plan to pursue higher studies and career growth.

My Honest journey at LPU; Opportunities, challenges & Takeaways

Likes

I like the whole UMS (University Management System) System they follow.
Like the campus, fully green and based on nature and all trees and fresh environment
Like the availability and conveinience of everything like there is mall for basic utilities, basic and food court shops

Dislikes

The Placement policy of putting pressure on getting low package as well.
Teachers who did not know anything, just coming to read the PPT to students
taking admisiion of Excessive number of students without any merit basis

Placement Experience:

Placements at LPU are offered in last year and the i was offered as well but the packages for BBA students are usually on the lower side and not always aligned with the core field. Many stydents, including me, prefered exploring higher studies or off-campus opportunities

LPU: A experience in itself

Likes

There are many cultural activities which are held daily
Availability of each and every necessity inside the campus
Placement opportunities that are available

Dislikes

Crowd- There are about 35000+ students studying in a single campus.
Hectic schedules- 9 to 5 classes can make your day really hectic

Placement Experience:

There exists a dedicated training and placemnet cell for each and every department. almost every day campus drives are held. Tech giants like amazon, BOSCH have visited LPU. 90% of students at LPU got placed in their final years.

LIFE IN LPU

Likes

Good campus environment,campus is really big you will enjoy so much
This college is ragging free. All the seniors and juniors have good relationship.
Lpu follow discipline very strictly. You can't drink or bring cigarette in campus .you can't do ragging of anyone otherwise you will loose your scholarship

Dislikes

Burden of assignment. You will get 4,5 assignment at the same time from all the subjects
This college is located at highway so here the city location is far from college
Strict policy.i really dislike the college which has very strict policy .there are so many restrictions

Placement Experience:

At lovely professional University, students became eligible for campus placement from their second semester for bba students and 6th semester for btech students .the campus has good placement record ,with over 500 recruiters visiting campus yearly.it include top company like Google, microsoft, cognizant.also the highest domestic package is 64 lakh which is very good and international package is of 3 crore .80 percent of students got placed if they are eligible for placement drive.my plan after completing degree is to do a job

Lovely professional university

Likes

The overall transportation system in the university is very good you wonut have to travel long distances with foot as there are a lot of electric carts, and you can find them easily without much efforts.
The amount of food court available, you can eat different types of food daily.
The Mall here is especially great you can get everything needed here

Dislikes

Food at the mess can be improved often it feels bland
In order to leave the university, you have to apply for leave if you live in the hostel
The attendance system can be a bit problematic

Placement Experience:

The overall placement can be said to be just fine you can get some opportunities but not that many. My course is 4 years and students can get placements starting from 3er year. I personally am going for an off-campus placement.

Lovely professional University provides best placements and infrastructure

Likes

Teachers and faculties are very cooperative with the students
Infrastructure of the university is also very nice and clean
Placement is also done on a good basis of you are applying for placement services

Dislikes

Non veg is not allowed in the university which is not good
There is a so much crowd at 5'0 clock and at time it's difficult to walk
LPU provide small hostel as compared to other universities

Placement Experience:

Lovely professional University provides 100% guaranteed placement to students and many among them gets a package of 50 lakh , 1 crore or 3 crore also. For placement you should sit in a placement drive and be a confident human being you will definitely gets placed.

I really appreciate there management team they have well qualified teachers and hirerchy
Campus life is best if you look good and if you have good friends.
If you want placement then you must try off campus but they provide placements too but mainly in sales

Dislikes

I really disliked security guards behaviour they think as if they are prime minister
College should allow non veg food in campus
I really don't like there boring way of teaching they must improve it

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement in last of 4th semester and real placements starts from 5th semester.In 4th sem they force you to do internship in order to secure job in future. More than 150+ companies visited for our course and most of them are hiring for sales. 200+ offers were made by these companies to students. Highest package was 9LPA for a sales job role where fixed component was 50% of salary. Average package is around 4 LPa for bba Around 70% of students get placement of they have prepared for it and really wants to get placed. My plan is to get into good mba college for securing a high paying job

Lovely Proffesional University,for the casuals made bythe proffesional

Engagement with students and the availability of faculty to help the students
Campus is huge and has availed a llt of facilities that are well kept
The programs such as international conference events and such are promoted

Dislikes

The strictness of the college interms of character and behaviour
Females are made to go back to the dormitories 2 or 3 hours esrlier than the males
The hostel mess food is not up tl expectation and contains a lot of oil

Affordable fees i am basically from tamilnadu compared to local college I feel like this worth for money
For each and every sem lotz and lotz of events will conducted both academically and even non academically
Mentor for each and every student. For all students mentor is assigned and easily can solve query

Dislikes

It is a vegetarian campus and can't get non veg there is only one shop and even that is very far from apartments
If you from Tamilnadu it is very far and go home only 1 or time per sem
Competition is very high if we have good skills and potential we can get placed

Placement Experience:

Still now i didn't opt for placement but for placement it is good if you compared to other colleges and universities the average package for job is 10 lakh CTC and lpu have seprate department and helpline for placement and also allows you for internship during course period

Life of LPU

Likes

As I'm gym freak I like there are three gym
There is non veg restaurant near hockey ground for gym people
I like the infrastructure and my favourite spot is robo park

Dislikes

Bathroom size and doors room maintenance
My favourite spot is robo park but it is actually look like lovers park so I don't like that one
Here walking take half of your time that discomfort me

I completed BTech CSE from LPU back in 2016. You might say that LPU has changed since then, but I am still in touch with my juniors and here is my experience:

Placements: More than 550+ MNCs and startups visit the LPU campus for placement. In recent news, Yasir M., student of LPU, grabbed an offer of INR 3 crore in Germany. The highest CTC offered for the engineering programs at LPU is INR 42 LPA.
Scholarships: People might think LPU is pricey since it is a private colleges, but LPU provides scholarships to bright students with good academic records, good track record in sports, or extracurricular activities. LPU also helps students in the education loan facility.
Research: In terms of research, Stanford University has ranked almost 13 LPU faculty members amongst the top 2% of scientists in the world.
Faculty: The faculty members are from top institutes like IITs, NITs, IIMs, and top-ranked universities globally.

I am a BTech Mechanical graduate from LPU. Here is an honest review on the placement scenario at LPU (in engineering)-

The placement scenario is poor for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. Few companies visit these departments for placements, and hire a maximum of 5-10 students in total. But if someone knows basic coding, they can sit for IT placements.

Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, etc. visit the CSE/IT departments for mass hiring. Very few core companies visit the ECE department for recruitments, so the students rely on IT companies. A mere 40/50 out of 1000 ECE students get hired by an Electronics company from the campus. The IT companies mass hire students at a CTC of around 3.5 LPA.

This is the engineering placement scenario at LPU.

Being a graduate from LPU, I found the campus life quite joyful as everyone in the university is supportive. I liked the following things about the University:
