LPU: In and Out

Likes

College campus and infrastructure was so big and full zof amenities
College placement was above average giving placements to majority of students
LPU has many co curricular activities enhancing students

Dislikes

Hostel facilities are not too expensive for the hostels
Highly crowded with students of CSE making competition too high to compete in
Managing a university so big is a tremendous task to do but it can be done in a bit better way

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from 5th semester onwards which is now preponed to 4th semester. More than 300 companies visit the campus for offering placement to the students of LPU making 90+ percent students getting placed

Likes

The quality of the professors are well maintained and they are very supportive.
University has very large infrastructure and good placement cell.
The examination system are systematic and the whole databases are stored in college website.

Dislikes

University are over-crowded because large number of students are there.
The hostel and mess food are expensive for lower class students.
The cost of the food are expensive from outside the campus.

Placement Experience:

University has very large placement cell almost 1500+ recruiting companies are visiting for the campus placements.After 5th semester students become eligible for the campus placements.Companies like google,microsoft are also come to give placements to give handsome packages.

Life at LPU

Likes

The campus infrastructure and night life at LPU is the best part of my college life.
There are events every time of the year, the celebrities keep coming and there is no limit to fun.
There is a university mall where everything is available and it is excellent.

Dislikes

Students are unable to manage time for their own as the college time management is not good.
The teaching can be improved as teachers only focus on ppt reading.
The exam difficulty level can be decreased.

Placement Experience:

The job opportunities and placement scenario is pretty much good as compared to other colleges. The major recruiters which visit our college are Amazon, Google, Gerkstorgeeks, etc. The average package for students is nearly 6.5 to 9.07 lpa and the highest package offered till now is 3 crores.

Likes

The Environment of this college is much better.
Cleanliness is maintained by the college.
All the faculties of this college is very talented and motivate us always.

Dislikes

One is the food of mess. This is very bad.
Classess are not taken consecutively. I have not getting sufficient time to revise my syllabus.
Nothing more that I dislike in this college.

Placement Experience:

The Campus placement is very good. The big Corporates, MNCs are come every year to hire students in LOVELY PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY. All deserving students gut placed in Campus selection. Those you didn't get placed, I think they have to complete their course after that they go Outside the Campus for Placement, Maximum Chance they got an average package of 8 to 10 lacs .

Two states at LPU

Likes

Campus size was very large daily you have to walk for atleast 20 minutes (minimum)
Attendance schema was strict . Nobody could easily pass out without attending the classes
People think that it's a private university we,, getting a degree would be easy ,, but it's not u have to work really really hard like a 9 to 5 job for years to get that achievement

Dislikes

Attendance Schema :- on 2023 The local place was influenced by dengue fever on which college never gave any relaxation
I personally got infected and showing the medical of 1 month the college authorities did not approved any leave
Leave not approved resulting in getting Detained of a student from the entire semester

Placement Experience:

Student after successfully completing the 3rd semester are eligible for applying for the placement process Companies like HCL Google have visited offering 10-20 LPA package to the alumni . 60% of the students gets placed usually all they have to do is score on top 10 in their respective section. Me as an student planned a ultimate goal to join mera as a career at US

The timings for the classes can be better as the day starts from 9 o'' clock

There are many different placement options from sales job to the QA and QC aspects of the company. The employability of the course depend upon the students of he wants to gj towards the research area or the job.

LPU Pros and Cons

Likes

The College Campus is very great you will get all types of football basketball ground it has Olympic level swimming pool also it has great medical facility with a university hospital and free medical checkup
You will get people from all over india and will make many good friends

Dislikes

There are many students here who are not intrested in studies just here for college life so you to make friends reasonably

Placement Experience:

You are elegible for placements from 3rd year companies like adobe tcs wipro visit the campus recently adobe visited the campus with package of 6 lakhs. The higjest package this year was 48 lakhs which was given by Amazon. Around 70 percent of students are getting placed.

My University review

Likes

Mostly i liked the campus and infrastructure.
Average placements ratio is very good in my university.
Good hostel mess facilities and helpful staff.

Dislikes

No of of students is my college is increasing every year.
Classes are so much in my stuents daily routine so we don't get any time for any extra activities.
Sometimes they complete 6 months semester in 3 months that is not good.

Placement Experience:

After 4th semester stuents is able for campus placements. Top companies visit in my college like microsoft, google because our college have very large infrastructure and skillful students. lpu university also get naac++ grade.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course in this university bcoz it was ICAR accreditated ( theonly private college to attain ). Curriculum was based on real Practical life practices as taught in theory . Difficulty level of Exams are Medium to hard mostly due to the course of negative marking Exam conduction is on point .

My overall experience at lovely professional University

Likes

The best part of my university is the diversity here people from all the globe and much more things u can also make foreign friends e come here and that's the best part to know about different countries culture and way of living
I like the strict curriculum followed by the university which is strictly guided by ugc
It gives a very big platform for everyone if you want to achieve something in life

Dislikes

The really hate the hectic schedule which is classes from 9 to 5 mostly
The don't like the attendance criteria that is 75% even if students is ill or some other reason he /she couldn't attend classes they don't listen and just detain then
The security is good but they are over protective and possesive with the students

Placement Experience:

When I talk about placements so the highest package was 3 crore which was got by only one student and average is 4 lakhs but that to vary if I tell I'm simple words placements depends in the range of 3lakhs to may be crores it may be 10 lakh 15 lakhs 12 lakhs it totally depends on the capability of the students but sales company are more if I talk about cse and core company also do come but again it's on the efforts of the students studying here but at the end most of them get placement what I have seen and other if I talk ak about other plans so student can go for off campus placements and also opt for higher studies abroad or in India and can also do business or other stuffs

What is your review of Lovely Professional University?

I completed BTech CSE from LPU back in 2016. You might say that LPU has changed since then, but I am still in touch with my juniors and here is my experience:

Placements: More than 550+ MNCs and startups visit the LPU campus for placement. In recent news, Yasir M., student of LPU, grabbed an offer of INR 3 crore in Germany. The highest CTC offered for the engineering programs at LPU is INR 42 LPA.
Scholarships: People might think LPU is pricey since it is a private colleges, but LPU provides scholarships to bright students with good academic records, good track record in sports, or extracurricular activities. LPU also helps students in the education loan facility.
Research: In terms of research, Stanford University has ranked almost 13 LPU faculty members amongst the top 2% of scientists in the world.
Faculty: The faculty members are from top institutes like IITs, NITs, IIMs, and top-ranked universities globally.

Can I get an honest review on LPU University placements in engineering?

I am a BTech Mechanical graduate from LPU. Here is an honest review on the placement scenario at LPU (in engineering)-

The placement scenario is poor for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. Few companies visit these departments for placements, and hire a maximum of 5-10 students in total. But if someone knows basic coding, they can sit for IT placements.

Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, etc. visit the CSE/IT departments for mass hiring. Very few core companies visit the ECE department for recruitments, so the students rely on IT companies. A mere 40/50 out of 1000 ECE students get hired by an Electronics company from the campus. The IT companies mass hire students at a CTC of around 3.5 LPA.

This is the engineering placement scenario at LPU.

Being a graduate from LPU, I found the campus life quite joyful as everyone in the university is supportive. I liked the following things about the University:

LPU's campus can accommodate its many students, with classes divided into manageable sizes for effective teaching.
