- The faculty student ratio good learning experience good teaching and mentorship good good teachers and good environment knowledge so much in teachers good all are good very good so positive environment
- I personally benefited from the "merit excellence scholarship" and also secured an on-campus job as a research assistant with a stipend, providing valuable financial support during my studies.
- I am confident that i will be able to find a good job after graduation, thanks to the strong relationships that my university has with top companies.
Dislikes
- The faculty is not that good. like the teacher i'm provided with are not that good
- Scholarships they have this crazy deal there, if you get detained in 1st year in any subject, or reappear in any subject, your scholarship will be gone.
- The placement of my college is growing but is not quite good right now

- The environment is very nice, so much of exposure, regular events are organised
- I loved how teachers played a vital role in shaping my personality, very nice teachers from different region and so much of knowledge
- Labs are the place we learnt lots of things we didn’t knew earlier, cooperative staff and teachers
Dislikes
- I didn’t like the management of Chandigarh university. We have to run a lot to get a work done
- The placement facility for my field is not so flexible to achieve.
- The guards of the university are very rude and garsh towards students
Course Curriculum Overview:
Our course taught us everything literally everything in detail starting from biochem to stem cell technology. Studying these all subjects led us to be specialised in specific fields like Genetic engineering, nanobiotechnology etc. Exams are easy once we start appearing we get habituated to exams. It helps us to prepare in part part . Enough time are given to study.

- Lecturers are disciplined and teach very well plus they provide study material to access and there is freedom to ask any doubts from them.
- Laboratories are well maintained with all equipments necessary for biotechnology experiments whether i talk about genetic engineering lab, environmental technology lab, tissue culture lab, or any other lab. Lab assistants are well trained .
- They focus more on soft skills that i feel is a plus factor as compared to other universities. We have classes of soft skills to polish our speaking skills. Honestly talking i really felt a lot difference in soft skills &overall personal development.
Dislikes
- Some teachers do partiality on the basis of favouritism. I saw many teachers who give marks to their favorite students even if they write wrong answers in their exam answer sheets.
- Classmates are very childish ,immature ,competitive in every aspect. Other than that academic aspect is good.
- Libraries do not have much non academic books and this is a major thing that i don't like about my block's library. As it only have academic books to read and no books at all for personality development and other categories such as self help books.
Placement Experience:
During 5th semester you become eligible for campus placement drives, there are several companies that visits chandigarh university campus and you can fill forms for that on the basis of eligibility criteria they have and can appear for their drive that have steps such as test, GD, Personal interview. The average package in campus placements is 5 lakh Rs per annum. Highest package in Biotechnology department is around 12 lakh Rs per annum. Very few students opt for placement after graduation as most of the students plan to puruse a masters degree after that and several others were preparing for government exams. My plan after this degree is to pursue an Msc in biotechnology itself.

- Although there are many things and availabilities that I liked, starting with highly educated faculty members. Professors are quite helpful and engaging when it comes to assignments and projects. They explain the concept really well ad comprehensive.
- Secondly, I liked the appropriate labs, chemicals and equipments which are available there for students to use, whereas in other colleges these additionals are provided just for show not for use.
- Thirdly, I loved the campus life at CU, the campus is clean and green always. Several eateries are made available there, such as FR, Food Republic, It is one of the best place to spend time with friends, to have celebrations with good food available.
Dislikes
- 1. I think the point of increasing the fees is really upsetting as it were not so affordable before also. One needs to belong to more than average family to study here.
- 2. Some times, there is lack of chemicals and lab machines which are needed for biological experiments. So they should be provided timely.
- 3. Many times the hostel wardens are not enough educated and they are just given the jobs because of some references which in my view is not really good. Wardens must learn management and how to behave with students which is not upto the mark at CU.
Placement Experience:
Students doing BS Biotechnology are given placement chances from 5th semester when several companies arrives at the campus for placements. But salary packages are not great. Companies like Root analysis, IDS Infotech and Serum Institute of India visited the campus. Highest package offered to one student was 4.5 Lakhs and average package was between 2.5 to 3 Lakhs which also was only offered to 2 3 students, luckily I was one of them.
My plans after my degree is to go for MBA and I am preparing for CAT Exam now.

- Campus is great although, lab is well maintained specially I'm speaking about our chemistry lab cause I'm a chemistry honours student, teachers are great and clears every point while teaching, hostels are better not though much better .
Dislikes
- Everything is great except the mess food just like every normal hostels.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I liked studying chemistry so i chose to take chemistry honours, those laws and equations and reactions seems very interesting to me even my classmates are too very happy with the course and one of the reason is that the teachers teaching here are quite good, there will be total 8 semesters and the frequency of exams seems a bit frustrating cause u know no one likes to give exams????

Avg package is 5 lacks and highest 100000
At last semester they are eligible for campus placement

- All the staff is totally dedicated towards the student all the time even after the office hours.
- Course material and availability of that material is so easy and affordable.
- Apart from teaching even the non teaching facilities are also good.
Dislikes
- Nothing much to dislike like environment and everything is good but sometimes schedule can get hectic especially when you are doing research too.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is so refined and raw at same time it allows you to understand every concept along with giving you freedom to explore more which was one of the most beautiful or most intriguing factor for me.

- I liked the infrastructure of the building and architecture
- Good exposure as different students from different states from here
- Very beautiful landscape as it is very vast university
Dislikes
- As the university is very vast roaming around becomes very exhausting
- There is very vast competition for placement
- Most of the air conditioners in classroom doesn’t work
Placement Experience:
Students of 4th year gets placement from 7th semester and students of 3rd year gets placement from 5th semester my plans after my degree is going to abroad to complete my masters and enhance my skills

- The faculty members are very cooperative and will be of your help whenever needed.
- The environment of the whole campus is absolutely stunning
- Socially , culturally and academically , this University is much advanced and provides a lot of opportunities

- The food quality at mess and hygiene sometimes becomes a serious concern
- Academic pressure is there , starting from a lot of assignments and then month end exams
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester
A lot of well known companies lyk Amazon, Flipkart, Nescafe, britania, Google etc visit our campus and provide a lot of opportunities for students.
The only criteria for placements is to maintain a good cgpa . Cgpa acts as a base for further process.
Atleast 80% students get placement in reputed companies.

- Things i liked about Chandigarh University is first the infrastructure and campus is very good and beautiful for the students
- The course i enrolled that is biotechnology the teachers were very friendly and always helpful
- The laboratory is very good and well equipped with all the instruments and other facilities which is very good for hands on laboratory learning
Dislikes
- The only thing i disliked is placement for my course is not upto the mark for the other courses it may be good but for biotechnology it is not streamlined
Course Curriculum Overview:
I am from science background so biotechnology at that is very fascinating term so that's how i choose that but later on due to the content and teaching behaviour i liked it very much.
Biotechnology is something that is now plays important role in healthcare and new drug development process so that's how i like it and i got job later by this course in healthcare market research company.
Nothing like improvement from my end only need to improve genetics subject curriculum.
We get little time between exams like there is mst exams 2 times and 1 final exams held in one semester.

- The infrastructure of the university is very good including the massive buildings and especially the multistory student library with wide range of books
- The events organised by the university give students a chance to explore their hobbies and pursue them beside their studies
- Students get to interact with different students from various cultures and they get exposure to things they have never experienced before.
Dislikes
- The grading system is not well built. students are not satisfied
- Hostel facilities are not up to the mark.
Placement Experience:
the students get eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. our university holds a limca book record for the highest number of companies that visited for placements. the highest package offered is 25LPA and the average package is 5LPA. the college guarantees 100% placement.

In my opinion, Chandigarh University is superior to other universities for the following reasons:
- Chandigarh University is recognized by UGC and AICTE. It is among India's top 5% institutions with NAAC A+ ratings. It holds the membership of ICAR, IAU, ACU, IEEE, ASME, ACS, and IUCEE. Further, BCI, AIU, PCI, COA, NCTE, CSI & NCHMCT approve the university.
- A total of 200 courses are offered at Chandigarh University with unbeatable ROI.
- Apart from CUCET, the university also offers admission based on national-level entrance examination scores like JEE-Mains, NATA, CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ CMAT etc.
- The university also offers open & distance learning through CUIDOL and online courses.
