Chandigarh University Placement 2025 had over 1,300 recruiters and the university secured more than 10,000 offers. The highest package received was INR 1.7 Cr PA (international). Palo Alto offered the highest domestic package of INR 54.75 LPA. In addition, the highest package for MBA was INR 28 LPA and for Hotel Management was INR 18 LPA.

There are two types of statement program in our university TPP and non TPP in TPP you want to pay additional 10000 to sit in the placement it will help you to get placement and faculty will focus on you in non TPPfaculty will also help to you but you are not allowed to sit and placement because you are focusing on the outside placement and if you do not get placement through entire round then faculty will help you after also to tell you how to improve and how where you are lacking behind

Frankly, I do not carry too much information on how PSIT is, but I can assure you about Chandigarh University as it is best as an institute for CSE. Being a student there, my brother has often shared great facts about the university:

It has a well-established and very well-maintained infrastructure.
The faculty is greatly experienced.
The placement drive includes and welcomes 200 companies each year. Placement training is provided and is a must for the candidates.
In-startups are available for candidates who have a knack for business. Most of the start-ups that you may hear about surprisingly are from Chandigarh University.
Attending classes regularly is mandatory and the quality of education is excellent. The authorities are strict about your attendance record, so make sure you are constantly attending them.

How is it possible that Chandigarh University students are getting higher or equal packages to PEC or UIET despite having such a low cut-off when compared to PEC?

The package acquisition is not a college deed in the case of Chandigarh University. There are many factors that you need to consider whenever you want to compare placements in colleges.

UIET/PEC:

Both these are government colleges. UIET, being a new one is still rising and working. It has strict admission rules and academic procedures that follow AICTE’s rules.
It has an average of 100-120 students in every branch. The number of students is a bit lower in branches like Meta or BioT. So, you will see around 600 students in a batch of 20xx.
There’s no way anyone can get admission without clearing the counseling. There are no management seats and hence no pay to study. We should also note that UIET has no Home Quota.
This makes the admission more open to deserving candidates. Almost 80% of the present batch doesn’t belong to Chandigarh or places around.

CU or any other similar private college:

It might sound lucrative but the reality is that they don’t have any seat matrix. You can even check on a verified website, ask students and do your own research.
You will find that CU gives admission to N number of students where N is the number of students who can afford it.
The year 2018-19 saw 2000 Engineering students getting admission but the batch of 2020 had 2600 students in CSE with just 60 students in Electrical.

Placements:

UIET/ PEC: There are almost 70-90% placements in different branches. These numbers are now going down very drastically not because of the companies which offer placements, but because many students don’t want placements. UIET has funded more than 8 startups out of the college in the past 4 years. PEC also has a significantly greater number of placements. 20+ elite companies and other 50+ local startups visit both these colleges, along with few mass recruiters.
CU: Tough they claim huge campus placements, which is true, they have never displayed or claimed the people placed or even their exact placement statistics. CU holds 3-4 pool placements where anyone, even the ones outside the campus, can come for placements and if they get placed, they are said to be placed from CU. Moreover, the genuine placements are divided among engineering and MBA students. UIET doesn’t have MBA. CU hasn’t shared the average placement records either. They would probably be very low, seeing their records, maybe around 2-3L, but definitely not more than that.

Now that you know all the facts, you must also know that a college hardly matters. What matters the most is what you wish to make of yourself. You can get a 20-40L package from CU/UIET/PEC if you want to work for it. You can even become an entrepreneur.

Which university should I join for an MBA with good placement Jamia Millia Islamia, Chandigarh University or Doon Business School?

If we are simply comparing the colleges on the basis of ROI, JMI would be your best bet since it gets you a job with an average pay of 5 lacs with a mere fee of nearly 50000. But if you want to get a proper campus exposure you could think of going to Doon Business School. Doon charges nearly 5c lacs for the entire period of two years and has an average package of 6v lacs. You also need to emphasize the factors that are important to you. JMI is a central university and has a very rich legacy but Chandigarsh University on the other hand is quite popular for its pedagogy and professors. My personal choice would be to go for JMI because of the enticing ROI and small batch size.

M.Sc Microbiology at Chandigarh University is a 2 Years Degree. The course is offered On Campus as a full-time program. Chandigarh University M.Sc Microbiology First Year Fees is INR 1,28,500 for 2025. Candidates must have at least a Graduation + CUCET to be eligible for admissions. Chandigarh University offers an M.Sc. in Microbiology (including Industrial Microbiology specialization), and placements are available via the Biosciences placement system.
