Student Snaps:

Faculty:

The faculty's here in Chandigarh University are really great in teaching as well as understanding student behaviour and needs. If a student faces a problem related to any subject or problem related to hostel or in campus activity they really listen to the student and help them in solving the problem as soon as possible. The faculty I like the most is Ayushi ma'am. She is a really great teacher as well as a great mentor. She listens to the student, tries to solve every problem, and is cooperative and intelligent as well. She talks in a humble way making the student anxiety free and calm. The best faculties are Ayushi ma'am and Navjot Trivedi sir. Some faculties are biased as well. They do favourism for a particular student of it is related to academics or co curricular or extra curricular activities. They never ask another to step forward other than their favourite ones. The faculty's I don't like are akrishti ma'am, utkarshita ma'am, abizar sir. During a whole 1 semester the total number of theoretical exams to be conducted are 3, 2 of them are mid semester test also called as MSTs and then the finals. Other than these practical MSTs are also held between the mid of the semester and at the end final practical examination are taken. In MST unit wise syllabus is need to be studied while in finals you have to study the whole syllabus. The number of students that fail to clear exams are really less in my class. The paper pattern is divided according to the student as it becomes easy to score marks like 2 marks questions then 5 marks and at last 10 marks.

Their are 3 msts and 2 practical msts conducted every semester followed by 1 final mst and 1 final practical mst. Some faculty members are rude with students at first however if broken that barrier they help students with any grievence to their fullest.

Faculty:

the faculty to student ratio is quite high. in our core btranches , it often feel like one professor for every 60-70 students. because of this forming a close one on one relationship with every faculty is really challenging . Faculty i like: Dr. Rakesh Kumar(ADSA) He is genuinely one of the best . His teaching method is really understandable . he break down complex topics like trees and graphs into simple digestive concepts. Exam Structure : Mid Semester 1 - 20 Marks Mid Semester 2 - 20 Marks End Semester Test- 60 Marks Difficulty and Marking Scheme: The MST's are of generally moderate difficulty and are heavily based on the LMS and what being taught in the class during the lectures.

The faculty is good and also not good at all. Look the good and the bad ones are always there in every corner of this world. Talking about the ratio of faculty and students is pretty good there are around 200 faculty in a building of 1500 students. I remember vikas mittal sir was the best teacher in my 3 years of college he used to understand the point of the view of students too and help them all in their tough time. He was the one who motivated us during our exams days. Some are also there who don't even treat students as a human beings.

In my college faculty are of both the types some are really friendly and really approachable but some are really strict and are very harsh with the students faculty to students ratio is also fine no issues with that there are total 3 exams MST-I , MST-II , and EST Mst's are of 20 marks and EST is of 60 marks also Practical exams also take place and Practical MST too . I think exams are too much and they should focus more on practical learning
