BCA, General at Chandigarh University in 2024
At CU, faculty are generally approachable, through large class size. The course follows the semsters system with internals and externals. Exams are moderate, and most of the students pass. The curriculum is industy orinted, but pratical exposure depends on individuals effort and faculty teaching quality.

So, basically our education system is like i have three types of subjects Theory , Practical and Hybrid(both theory and practical) .
For the theory exmas we have mid semester twice and for the hybrid we have LAB MST once in a semester. and for the hybrid we have 10 assignments per semester and apart from this we have end semester lab exam . This all combines and makes grade .

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, the faculty experience is mixed but overall manageable. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:14, but in reality classes are large, so personal attention depends on the teacher. Some faculties are very approachable and helpful, especially during projects and exams.
I really liked teachers like Ankit Sir and Priya Ma’am because they explain concepts clearly and also focus on practical knowledge. They are supportive and easy to approach. On the other hand, some teachers are too focused on theory and just completing syllabus, which makes classes less interesting, so I didn’t connect much with them.
Talking about exams, there are two main exams per semester: MST (mid semester) and ESE (end semester), along with assignments and internal marks. Exams are moderate in difficulty, not too hard if you study regularly. Very few students fail, mostly those who don’t attend classes or study.
The course curriculum is updated and includes subjects like coding, AI, and data science, but sometimes it feels more exam-oriented than skill-based. Overall, it is decent if you put in your own effort.

As there are different type of people simillarly there are different types of faculty . The faculty to student ratio if Good . And some of the faculties are so much friendly and supporting that it is very easy to make a good student relationsip with them .
Some of the faculty i would like to name is Miss. Sukhpreet mam , she used to have our communication skills lectures in my 1 st semester and i would say she was the best person one must get in their begining of the University . If I had to describe i would say there is a 80: 20 ratio where 80% of the facuties are nice and good with students . The other 20 consists of the faculties having age >=40 . The more the senior faculties they have a different attitude and try to be very dominant with students as they say they don't have any fear of the organization. If I had to name such a faculty i would name Ankita mam .
Talking about my academics , I would say there are a lot of subjects in our curiccullum which has no relevance with our corse they are being introduced to nothing . Some of them we had to do from online pplatforms such as coursera .
The level of Examination is moderate they not that hard and most of times the questions are asked from the syllabus only . The examinations consists of 2 MST , MST 1 of 20 marks and MST 2 of 20 Marks and a final Exam consisting of 80 marks . I would the level of checking the sheets is very lenient and maximum of the students pass the exams easily .
