College facilities in Chandigarh University

Our course taught us everything literally everything in detail starting from biochem to stem cell technology. Studying these all subjects led us to be specialised in specific fields like Genetic engineering, nanobiotechnology etc. Exams are easy once we start appearing we get habituated to exams. It helps us to prepare in part part . Enough time are given to study.

I am a general category student. I got to know about Chandigarh university from online sources. For scholarship I appeared CUCET in which I secured around 80 % i guess ,so i got 40 % scholarship so i was paying 24800 out of 45000 ,but the criteria is every year we have to maintain 7.5 cgpa. Per semester the fees was 45000 so for 6 sems it will be 270000 without scholarship, but because I got scholarship i used to pay 24800 that means 148800 for 6 semesters by securing 7.5 and above CGPA throughout

The social life of Chandigarh University is best. There are different clubs in the university like dance, music, literary, management,dsw etc. Celebrities frequently visit university and we can easily watch them without any restrictions.Garba night, holi , college fest, tashan nites are the events held. Every class has digital set up(projector) . Every block has a library but there is a main library too in B1 and also a new library is also being built. Basketball ,football, badminton, tennis, skating every sports are held ,even weightlifting. Students running any kind of clubs get certification and also help them to develop their skills and personality.

Hostel are good , but the rooms are conjusted for girls. Food is not that good . In girls hostel they provide a cupboard,a study table ,a bed , a cooler for 4 person. While takin admission they call and ask if we need hostel. There are so many places to stay near university like GBP crest, Omega , Modern Valley, Darpan greens , Shivjot Enclave

I applied in Manipal university , VIT as well but I didn't got selected in VIT as i was not prepared abd was my first examfor college, after appearing this I appeared for manipal and Chandigarh university, got seat in both the university but chose Chandigarh university because of the scholarship and the place. It's easy to get admission in Chandigarh university we have to just apply for admission, people will contact us and guide us about the admission and seat allotment procedure and will also ask us to appear cucet because of scholarship.

There were lots of faculty in our department around 30 or more and the students per class are 55-60 . Faculty are very friendly and approachable and are ready to help us anytime. I learnt a lots of things from each teacher , they are extraordinary people. Like Ravi sir, Vipasha mam , Muskan mam, Akshara mam , Mohini mam, Jashanpreet mam. They helped me with the subjects a lot and cleared every concept, taught us lab experiments by standing near us. We had a final exam and in between we had 2 exams (Mid semester test) MST 1 and 2 which are quite easy and the final was a bit hard. Very less students failed.
