Patient Flow is quite Better (endodontics and Prosthodontics are usually has highest patient Rate)
Labs are well functioning except Fews labs

Dental Faculties are not Enough (Recruitment is on going currently thou)
Pre clinical Conservative lab need to be renovated

You will gono deal with patient from 3rd year onward and there is specific no. Of patients you need to complete else you could be detain.. patient diagnosis is quite daunting task and surely develop your skills for future

College provide intership in it's own hospital Government Dental Hospital patiala for the interns from the same clg (15k Ruppee is stipend as per Punjab Government)..some extern also apply for internship (they don't get stipend)

Fee for First year is 80,000 Ruppee(tuition Fee and some dues included)there is increament of fee as 15% yearly later on, examination Fee would be 3500 Ruppee, security fee was 2400 Ruppee For the 2nd Year, (tuition Fee is 79200+ student Fund 9000 ruppee and DF college 1800 Ruppee) overall 90,000 Ruppee, examination Fee excluded in overall fee. Scholarship For Sc/St Candidate is available (for those specific Economic Weaker Sc/st candidates)

Annual Function held in march usually and usually Followed by Sports meet , annual path is held in between Feburary to april and college Party( Hall or pool party) depends on organisers usually (August to September)...above events are wholely for Gdc patiala Gmc patiala conduct Aura (youth fest)

Faculty is not enough but recruitment is ongoing, faculties are preety good anyone can reach out them for any queries,there is anti-ragging committee also ,our principal (Dr. Maan) is the coolest among all faculty members..(he never scold you about what dress you're wearing) like overall you can wear that much casual outfits like you do seen on insta college fits lol..there is need to maintain Doctor's decorum even you need to see patients from 3rd year There is general class test conducted, and yearly annual exam are there , sendups are also conducted prior to annual exams..exam are moderate in level of toughness

Eligibility Criteria of the college

I applied for medical college,in 2022 but my merit was little less my state rank was around 800..this is the toppest dental clg in punjab and academically Better and patient flow is quite good.. To get into this clg you need to apply for Neet UG Currently in 2024 Government Dental college and hospital cutoff (state cutoff for general was around 617 marks in neet UG)

I applied in baba Farid university and chitkara university for BMLT course. I was in merit number 86 in baba Farid University of health sciences. The overall minimum cut off was 60% and any one having medical in 12th standard with minimum 60% was eligible for applying in this college. As it was government college I found it better than other colleges

Admission:

MBBS is a full-time course of 5.5 years including 4.5 years of studies and 1 year of rotary practice. This is offered by Baba Farid University of health sciences, Faridkot. And approved by the national medical commission. The admission is followed up by 12th passed with biology, chemistry, physics, and also with NEET-UG (national eligibility entrance test undergraduate students). In this college total seats are 225. In which 25% sc/st quotes 15%obc and rest for the general category students. The minimum age of the student is 17 at the end of the 31st of December. For admission, the certificates that are required are 10th certificate, 11th 12th class certificates including sciences subjects, domicile certificate, character certificate, caste certificate, emigration certificate from the board, birth cert. There are 3 rounds of counseling in which first two are online counseling and 3rd the last one is physical counseling. Medical should be done this is also included in the admission process.

Which college is better, GMC Patiala or CMC Ludhiana?

Both GMC Patiala and CMC Ludhiana are well-respected colleges in India. Both offer excellent education and resources for students.

Let's consider the following aspects:

Fees : GMC Patiala is a government college so it charges much lesser fees around INR 1.74 Lakhs (First Year) in contrast to CMC Ludhiana which charges around INR 6.6 Lakhs for the first year.
Academics : The academic environment is more or less the same. CMC Ludhiana has a smaller batch size so the student-to-teacher ratio is pretty good ensuring personal attention to each.
Clinical exposure: CMC Ludhiana because is a multispeciality hospital and has a better patient load and diversity in cases. Sometimes even government colleges refer cases to this hospital.
Hostels : CMC is a private college so its hostel facilities and overall infrastructure are definitely better than GMC Patiala. CMC Ludhiana students get a single room from their first year.

However, the only drawback is that CMC Ludhiana is located amidst the hustle and bustle such that one has to cross the main road to reach the hospital from the hostel.

GMCP Patiala does not have GNM Course available. There are other Diploma level courses available such as Diploma in Burn and Plastic Surgery and Diploma in Hospital Documentation.

Candidate should have obtained a certificate in B.Sc. (Nursing) / B.Sc. (Post Basic Nursing) from an institution recognized by the Punjab Nursing Registration Council/Indian Nursing Council and situated in the state of Punjab. The candidate was a bonafide resident of Punjab. The resident status of Punjab state shall be taken in terms of Punjab Government, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms. The fee has not been disclosed.

The candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized or equivalent state board in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects. The candidates must have obtained minimum 50% (40% for SC/ST) marks in the qualifying examination in PCB taken together. Selection is based on the NEET or PPMET score followed by the national level counselling.
