Likes

Things i liked about Chandigarh University is first the infrastructure and campus is very good and beautiful for the students
The course i enrolled that is biotechnology the teachers were very friendly and always helpful
The laboratory is very good and well equipped with all the instruments and other facilities which is very good for hands on laboratory learning

Dislikes

The only thing i disliked is placement for my course is not upto the mark for the other courses it may be good but for biotechnology it is not streamlined

Course Curriculum Overview

I am from science background so biotechnology at that is very fascinating term so that's how i choose that but later on due to the content and teaching behaviour i liked it very much. Biotechnology is something that is now plays important role in healthcare and new drug development process so that's how i like it and i got job later by this course in healthcare market research company. Nothing like improvement from my end only need to improve genetics subject curriculum. We get little time between exams like there is mst exams 2 times and 1 final exams held in one semester.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is according to the policy ofcourse they are that level of study there they charge for that. There is 2 scholarship one is merit based that is on the basis of your +2 exams Percentage and other one is cuet exam that is held by Chandigarh University itself

Campus Life

4.5

Overall campus is very good with good infrastructure and all the necessary facilities in the campus. There is very good vibe of studying and enjoying both is there. I like the campus vibe very much and the canteen and cafe everywhere.

Admission

I get direct addmission on the basis of my +2 marks and also get scholarship. You have to reserve your seat first by depositing 10,000 first then addmission is done further also you can give college entrance exam if you will get good marks you get scholarship on that basis

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is like for my department biotechnology is 10 students 1 teacher approx. The faculty is very good and friendly they always help students in learning the things they teaches very well by using ppt, white board even individual person to person.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course that is bsc in artificial intelligence and data science is quite demanding and I think this is the only field which is growing faster. Another reason for choosing this was I had huge interest in this field. But faculty,their teaching way and syllabus is too way less as compared to course. They focus more on their rather than the practical work but in this field practical work is more important than theory as theory plays no role in this field . They must reduce the number of mid sem exams conducted and focus more on making students better in practical work. After the starting of semester, just after 25 days when syllabus not even completed as the 1st unit.. they shout spreading the news of exams. We just got too busy in exams which make us feel distracted from our real work .

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
