Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.

Dislikes

Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

One of the oldest government college of Odisha

Remarks:

Mix remarks as each coin has both sides. So it's good in some fields and bad is some fields. There are enough faculties in the college to each subject but not so much if facilities. Like water not available always

One of the best college of the state

Remarks:

Positive remark is its a university which has all chances of becoming IIST in the near future and now as a new airport has been built and it has started operations so now there will be more companies visiting the college for placements.And the college is built near the hirakud dam. Its located in a wonderful location all full of greenery and mountains u will always love to visit. Negative thing is u have to travel to BHUBANESWAR which is 28kms far for extra courses if you choose to do any as this place doesnot have better institutes for it. And the market is not so big .

As per my opinion

Remarks:

Regarding the positive reviews, the students, as well as some of the faculties, are outstanding in nature. Regarding negative reviews, some faculties are below average. The infrastructure of the college is not as good as per expectation. The location has some mixed reviews. Though it is situated in a village area the enchanting nature and Hirakund dam make it more beautiful. The equipments that are here are very old and they didn't come with modern equipments. On average, the vssut college is good.

good college review with best infrastructure

Remarks:

VSSUT is located in Burla which is a very small town and not much to see around. One can easily get bored around here if not involved in club activities. Also, it's difficult for girls around here because they have an in-time of around 7 pm which is kind of frustrating. Ragging is another issue and teachers are also kind of bullies. The only thing that interests me in this college is the Robotics Society of which I am a member.

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same

VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations

Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
