- Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
- I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
- I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .
Dislikes
- In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
- Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
- Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

Students are eligible for internships after their 2nd year summer holidays. Many companies approach our college for both internships and placements. We have a high placement ratio. The average package is around 13 lpa while the highest package is around 70 lpa

Since my childhood I had interest in construction field that's why I choose civil engineering over other branches
Faculty are good well trained
Some of the faculty are not explaining the topics well
Faculty are wantedly making students fail

- South indias biggest technical fest conducted at nitc that is known as tathva
- And my friends changed my btech life in beautiful way
- Kerala has mesmerizing greenery in our surroundings

- Food is adjustable for non malayalis for other state people like Andhra they should adjust
- Nitc has old infrastructure that should be renewal that will attract students .
- Changing canteens temporarily which makes students to face problem
Placement Experience:
Student from semester seven can sit for placement in our college. Companies like Oracle, Bajaj etc visited our college. The highest package was around 60Lakhs and the average is around 12 lakhs Around 60- 70 percentage of students are getting placed.

- Sports facilities and tournmaents such as inter nit, inter branch, inter department
- Campus life with friends and curriculum followed here.
Dislikes
- Worst thing here is faculty is they are not good as expected
- Transport problem from hostel to the classes
- Lack of combined activities to make the student to interact more with each other
Placement Experience:
From the third year it self student scan applications for placement, and internships.
Many companies visit here like Tata, tcs, Texas instruments, Wipro, LT and more.
Last year in ece it was 36 lakh per anum is the highest and with average of around 20 lakh.
I am planning to write a gate exam and get into an IIT for further studies.

This is the top most course available in our college . I dont know about the ratio all the faculty here are very well qualified. But most of them are not interactive . We have a mid and an end semeste exam for a sem

- Campus life and culture and the faculties here
- Campus environment and its fests and festivals are celebrated together.
- Placements are good and internships offers are also made.
Dislikes
- Not much area in the campus. Most of the area are unused or type is barren.
- Girls to boys ratio is very bad here. So try to add more girls
- There are only 2 buses from mega boys hostel to campus. Need to increase the number of bus.
Placement Experience:
From 7th semester students can be eligible for placements. Many companies visited and many offers were made. Almost above 90% students were placed. Highest package was 67 LPA and average is 20 LPA. My plan after getting a degree is if i get the good package i will accept it. Else will go for higher studies.

Placements in campus are good.from semester 5 students can apply for internships.the average package of a computer science student is 12lakh per annum.highest package is 40lakh per annum this year.my branch has 100% placements

- Overall, NIT Calicut provided a fulfilling experience. Liked: Comprehensive curriculum, supportive faculty, vibrant campus life.
- So much freedom for both boys and girls, so many clubs , committees, workshops to enjoy and work ourself to the finest make ourself a complete engineer.
- The main part is about the fests, which are super awesome in which we can showcase talent , dance , singing and some well known artists come up with their trending songs, theres so many food stalls which will fill ur thirsty throat and empty stomach
Dislikes
- Its about the hostel which is placed away for the second years and third years although the buses are available , cant really take advantage
- Its about the girls boys ratio, very less number of girls , they shoyld increase the number of seats for the girls
- Different faculty for the same branch, which we can tell it as a biased but nevermind its always the night before the exams so no worries
Placement Experience:
Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. Companies like Microsoft, Google visit offering high packages. Avg package is decent. Around 80% students get placed. If not, I plan to pursue higher studies or explore job opportunities.

- Clubs - Non technical clubs conducts many events
- Couples- Couples and friends can roam freely

- Politics - many outside politics takes place in campus
- CANTEENS- canteens change every two months

Placements are not up to level this year
Due to recession previously it was good though, CSE students are 100 percent placed , Next ECE is highest, Many companies visit during placement season and Placement cell takes care of it

- Management is very efficient if you are unhappy about something you can complaint they will take quick action.
- Saftey around the campus is good girls can roam without any fear in late nights also.
Dislikes
- There is too much state politics going around the college.
- There is slight clash between home state students and other state students.
- You have to climb a big slope to reach the campus if you are staying outside.
Placement Experience:
From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement.NIT Calicut placement 2023 saw the participation of 197 companies recruiting a total of 1144 students. The institute also conducted a summer internship for 2023 graduates. A total of 329 students got placed including 227 students from undergraduate programs. Companies like Accenture, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs come in tech and in core L&T, Birla, JSW , TVS. Highest package is 47 LPA and average is around 13. I want to do MBA after this.

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-
- The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
- There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
- The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
- There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
- During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.
NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
