Likes

College location climate is good greenery which makes us to feel like home
Good and experienced faculty . They guide students well
We have different playgrounds for different sports

Dislikes

No wifi connection in hostels and no hot water
Not all faculty are well trained enough to teach
No proper bus route facility distance from hostel to classroom is more

Course Curriculum Overview

Since my childhood I had interest in construction field that's why I choose civil engineering over other branches Faculty are good well trained Some of the faculty are not explaining the topics well Faculty are wantedly making students fail

Class Size: 163Course Fees: INR 36010 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are very high when we compared to other nits NIT CALICUT collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me They don't even giving concession Most of the people are not getting scholarships

Campus Life

No fests are conducting since 1 year management wantedly not giving permissions for the fests there was a tech fest and cultural fest has to be happened this month but the management cancelled the fests

Hostel Facilities

Hostel room was very good but no hot water,no wifi No proper drinking water . In some messes food quality is to worse .they are collecting more fees . Its better to stay in pgs but there nearby no pgs available if we take room there is problem of cooking

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Admission

Entrance through JEE MAINS Counseling done by josaa For local state they are selecting even the candidates who got less percentage also getting seat And they are collecting more fees from the students saying that to stay in hostels we have to pay mandatory advance of 20k per month and 13k establishment charges per sem . We don't know why this 13k for administration not even answering our questions

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Average student experience at amrita

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. A student's perspective

Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
