I choose the Computer Science and Engineering Department because of its demand and high placements. FACULTY STUDENT ratio is like 1:50, professors are highly qualified mostly in IITs, and NITs. SEM would be completed in 4 months

Class Size: 52Course Fees: INR 140000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Interships will be paid or unpaid . Anyways u get experience with unpaid internships also.we also get PPO with interships, Projects to be done in fourth year Stipend would also given according to your project

Placement Experience

Placements are not up to level this year Due to recession previously it was good though, CSE students are 100 percent placed , Next ECE is highest, Many companies visit during placement season and Placement cell takes care of it

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is like 1500000 for general students and it decreases with the increase of reservation based on EWS and SC/ST. Scholarships are also available to only reserved candidates,NSP is available to SC/ST students

Campus Life

Our campus life is very good.Very Innovative and Interactive, Basic facilities are all provided like projector or digital classrooms, A big foot ball is also there in which they play cricket,Many clubs are there both technical and non technical

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are also good There is a water purifier in every floor Mess is average and many options are available you can change mess every month Mess fees is 32000 per sem this must be payed by every candidate

Admission

I wrote JEE mains and worked very hard, Got a rank of 6k in CRL and filled the Jossa preference form ,first I filled all the IITs and next NITs finally I got alloted in NIT Calicut, a Kerala University

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Average student experience at amrita

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
