Echoes Of NITC : A memoir of life and learning

All core subjects taught are useful in practical scenarios in the core fields of structural eng, ranging from structurl dynamics, stochastic process in structural mechanics, EQ Engineering,Bridge Engg, Adv design of concrete structures etc.

Fcaulty members have good connection with industrial experts and they even posess a good industry experience that will benefit in getting internships even at standard Industry firms. Or via seniors there is a good chance in getting hired.

The placements are fluctuating over period based on the industry demands, but still getting placed over offcampus drives are also high. Most of the structural engineering consulting companies visit the campus every year.

Thee fee structure is split into Tution fee, Hostel fee, Caution deposit. I didint recived any fee relaxations or scholarships, but there are different schemes. There are E Grantz scholarship for reservation categories and you will get stipend if you have a valid GATE score.

The technical fest TATVA and Cultural fest RAGAM are the most prominent events that used to happen every year and those are the heart throbes of every NITCian. The vibes are flabbergasting when compared with any other cultural fest happening on any other institutes in south India.

The college hostels itself is the best option to stay . The feel there is also a different. Also having all 3 meals with friends from mess is also kinda Anamnesis frame while thinking from past. Defenitely College hostels are the right choice.

Being a keralite I always enjoyed to be at home, so NITC was a solid option for me and I love the culture of calicut more . The people in clicut are too loving and care for each other. The legacy which NITC holds over past decades was also another factor.

The faculty professors are distunguished Alumni of many IITs and you will get a chance to explore the fundamental concepts through tutorials, assignments . will give a chance to brushup the topics to a more solid level.

The night life is so awesome. We used to hangout for midnight tea Especially there is a shop named "Juice Arena" which is open even at midnight and we used to have tea from there and gets indulged in chit chats.
