- I like the teachers like dr.sheena she is one of the best teacher here .
- Placements and internship opportunities are good. research support is also very strong. bangalore is nearby hence a lot of companies visit for campus placements
- Fees are somewhat high but a lot of scholarship opportunities are there for students, especially college fee is free for those whose annual income is less than one lakh and third for those less than five lakhs
Dislikes
- There was a lack of transparency while choosing college hostel.
- Hostel food is not good, actually veg mess food is not good at all
- There are not lot of thing which i dislike its just two which i mentioned above.

Course Curriculum Overview:
Computer science curriculum is based on practical world and the curriculum has been updated recently and courses here teach you to learn competitive coding.
Faculties are good,experienced and from forgien universities ,they teach well and help us to learn course in a usefull manner.
Some Faculties doesn't interact much and the corrections of papers,and tests are in hands of respective Faculties.
Exams are tough based on our Faculties,generally in 1st year dept sets paper and for everyone paper is the same

- The work culture , the students around , they are the main motivation for me to work , seeing other students gain skills helps me to get out of my bed and develop myself
- There are many clubs which are active and make us a more skilled person , make new friends in club , increase social skills and personal
- The campus is very clean and lush green with a beach .There are Many stalls food court canteens which are quite affordable and useful when we don't eat in mess
Dislikes
- The weather here is very humid , if you are used to stay in a cooler environment you may face difficulties here
- Water supply here is very poor sometimes , the last summer we experienced water scarcity of drinking water too !!!!
- The exams are conducted very frequently and not allowing the faculty to complete their syllabus properly . The curriculum should focus more on practical knowledge rather than theory
Placement Experience:
Campus placements of NITK are good.
Considering it a tier 1 government college , there are many companies who visit NITK
My branch IT has a 100% placement record in the last 20 years since it's establishment, CS IT ECE are the main branches from where companies select students
Internship opportunities are provided by college in ye 3rd year itself through campus interviews.
Students also apply offcampus and get placed

- Campus is beautiful, beach is part of campus
- Club culture is very extensive and there is something for everyone
- Fests happen at a very large scale and that also helps in exposure

- Mess food and hostel accommodation are mediocre
- Curriculum is old and teachers aren't passionate
- Courses can often get stressful especially in core branches
Placement Experience:
Placement season starts from 7 sem and ends at the beginning of 8th sem. In mechanical highest package is 50lpa andedian package is 10 lpa. For mechanical companies like Bajaj and caterpillar come for core placement. Other than that it companies also recruit from core branches

- Firstly the best thing is the fest it was awesome.
- Secondly the class timing is so convenient
- Campus life is also great and u can enjoy a lot
Dislikes
- Exams are so hard that you can barely pass
- Food is not good at all and it taste very weird from home food
- Temp is too hot and u need to carry a umbrella everywhere

Nitk has a very good placement record on both off and on campus the avg package is also good.
For cse the avg package is 20 LPA and overall avg package is around 10 LPA. The placement percentage is around 90%

Placement Experience:
7th semester onwards company started coming to college and had better placements each year. The average of 20 lakhs each year and cse placement last year was incredible. In CSE 100 percentage placement s are there in every year

Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is good and the faculty is awesome I am interested in Software technologies so I opted for Information Technology at NITK. All the faculty have done Ph.D. and the teaching method is good they share ppts and slides there would be quizzes generally and a mid-sem and end-sem exam for every sem and it would be quite easy and can be passed easily.

From 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements Many MNCs like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon hire many students from our college and many get offers from these companies The highest package of our college is 55LPA and the average is 10LPA The highest package of our college is 55LPA and average is 10LPA There are 90% placements overall for the college

Placements are really good in our college.
Around 99.11 percent of our branches got placed highest placement of 57.5 CTC.
And the average is 20 CTC for our branch .highly paid jobs are provided by companies like Deshwa, Oracle, Amazon, Google, etc.

- I liked how the faculty was ready to lend a hand whenever we needed it. They are always there to help you just have to reach out.
- Campus Life is also great. The amenities they provide, the seniors you meet are all great. Seniors are very friendly and encourage you always to try new things.
- Placements wise NITK is pretty decent. It is one of the tier-1 NITs. The placements achieved here are no joke.
Dislikes
- I didn't like the way some faculty members teach. They just do it for the name sale and leave. Most of them are not like this so it's all good.
- I didn't like how the swimming pool was left abandoned since COVID and was never restored while our fees was always including maintenance for the pool.
- I didn't like the fact that the student council openly asked every club to withdraw their posts that show support to LGBTQ+ community during Pride month since some students found it uncomfortable.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is thoroughly taught and executed. It is updated regularly to keep up with the times. I chose this course because computer science is a booming industry right now. Software engineers are needed everywhere. The faculty available is more than enough a rough ratio would be around 1:16. Most of the teachers have a doctorate in their respective branches and they have their own methods of teaching. Some of them are interesting while others bore me personally. Exams are conducted every 1.5 months including quizzes, mid sems, and end sems. They were not too easy but they were made keeping in mind to pass an average student.

The placements of all the branches of NITK are actually very good. The placements season starts in the month of August. The students are eligible to take part in an on-campus recruitment drive from the 7th sem. For B.Tech. all the courses around 92% of students got placed this year. The highest package was 54 LPA and the average package was 12 LPA.

NIT Surathkal is one of the premium engineering colleges in India. It has an amazing faculty pool with top-notch infrastructure. Many big companies visit the campus for placements. The campus is huge with all basic amenities like hostels, health care centers, sports facilities, etc. Students are provided with 24/7 internet facility and also basic facilities like water and electricity.
The campus life is very dynamic with many technical and cultural events taking place on campus. Your peers are mainly people who couldn't make it to IITs but are very talented. Moreover, you get to experience the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.
NIT Surathkal organizes one of the best Cultural Fest Incidents every year. Additionally, many startups have been founded and co-founded by NITKians which has improved the startup culture to a great extent. Ultimately, college is more about what you learn and experience!
