Dislikes

The college is too strict with attendance,if a student’s attendance is below 85 he has to pay a fine of ?5000,?3000 and ?2000 and if the student has a less than 75% attendance then he/she is detained which is very wrong ~ Abhinaba Bhuyan, BA

Christ University is best in India!!

Likes

The management of the Christ University influences the faculty to treat students right.
Faculties are mostly young and they align well with the students.
Teh course here is properly structured and that gives Christ and edge over other university.

Dislikes

Classes hard to start at 6.30 am and minimum attendance required is 85%.

Placement Experience:

I got placed during the final semester in Barclays Capital and likewise 60% of my batchmates too during the final semester. It was COVID a year back and therefore placements took a bit of pounding otherwise the average was 6 lakhs for our batch today is 9-10 lakhs.

Likes

The campus is always very clean and the campus food is hygenic. The campus provides all necessary facilities and the environment of the campus is perfect for a student.
The faculty is well trained and experienced. More than 90 percent of the teaching faculty holds a PHD in their specific course that they are teaching.
The college is diverse and promotes a good social and cultural life for all the students.

Dislikes

The college is too strict with attendance as we are required to maintain a minimum attendance of 85 percent per year.
We are given a lot of assignments which is common in most of the colleges.
The college expects the students to be well groomed all the time.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements at the beginning of 3rd year. Our college recives placement offers from companies like Wipro, ICICI bank, etc. The highest placement offered for this course was INR 15 LPA and the average is INR 7 LPA. More than 85 percent students are placed every year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum particularly for BBA is good. The CIAs are structured to make it a social and practical course giving us exposure in different fields. Also there is a range of different specialisation to chose from during our final year.

Balancing academic and growth

Likes

The professors and the other staff is very interactive and always ready to help and solve your problems. They always keep you motivated by conducting industrial visits and engaging assignments
There are many intercollege and intracollege fest which help to build tour vocabularies and other skills
They help me building the holistic personality and involves inclusivity of every culture

Dislikes

The university is known for enforcing a strict dress code, attendance policy and discipline which some students find very restrictive, many students also feel the assignments and the academic pressure and the marks awarding system is overwhelming
They. Are very particular about the dresscode for girls dupatta is compulsory and for boys tie is a must
You have to maintain 85 attendance or else you won’t be able to give exams

Placement Experience:

The placement process is quite strict and difficult. U can apply for many companies at a time and suppose u receive offer letter from 2 companies one is 800000 and other is 120000 . The one u receive earlier will be considered and other one will automatically get rejected many companies have visited the college like deeshaw with package of 2400000 , delloite bain and co, zomato , plum, etc till now only 40% got placed

Christ, is it for you or not

Likes

One thing i liked is the variety of options in the campus for food we have over 7 canteens in the campus.we have north for students from the north region south canteen for students from south india,also many options for snacks and tea different
Another thing i liked is the amount of security guards they are very sweet and are always happy to help
Another thing is the lost and found section,it has been really beneficial for me

Dislikes

One thing i disliked is the seniors they act like bosses
I also think there's a lot of groupism among the crowd
I feel they are a bit too strict regarding the hairstyles and fashion

Placement Experience:

Today only 2 students got placed in icici bank for placement of 7 lpa which is good for a bba graduate. Placements are viewed very seriously in the campus and proper prepare is given for the students to help them sit for placements from the 1st sem itself

Extra curricular activities are pretty fun
Auditorial programmes are entertaining with dances and music
Boy girl radio is around 40 to 60 with boys being 40 and girls being 60

Dislikes

Class timings are very hectic with it starting at 7.30AM in the morning.
Attendance is very strict with the faculty showing no mercy to any of the vases

Course Curriculum Overview:

Christ university being known for their academic excellence has a very good set of courses that provide insights into the relevance of the course that you opted. The teaching methods however could improve and they could make it a bit more interesting for the students to be more interested and stay deep in the subject.

Christ University: This place is a commitment

Likes

There are a lot of resources for people who will utilise them.
There are a lot of clubs, activities and culturals.
The professors are also great to a certain extent

Dislikes

The attendance requirements here are very painful to handle.
The hostels here are horrible and are extremely dirty
The campus is very small and there isn’t much to do here.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are okay I wouldn't say they are great but they are nothing to scoff at. The highest package this year was around 30 LPA. The placement percentage is apparently around 70% with the rest 23% pursuing higher education.

The infrastructure and campus design, which includes all facilities and amenities covering all aspects like sports, education and extra curriculars
The amenities at campus include: football turf, basketball court, cricket nets, kabaddi court, volleyball court as well as an indoor sports arena which has foosball, table tennis, snooker, carrom, chess). There is also a library with advanc software
There is a club/committee for everything: dance, music, debating, social action, event management, entrepreneurship as well as all sports

Dislikes

The rules and regulations of the university are very strict and have to be followed at all times, and absolute discipline has to be mantained at all times within campus. There is serious action taken in case of non compliance
The attendance policy is very strict, which requires students to maintain a minimum attendance of atleast 85% at the end of each semester. If not mantained there are cases of detention/suspension
Weighted assignments are given to students at regular intervals which effect the overall cgpa at the end of each semester, so hard work and dedication is required throughout the semester to get a good grade

Placement Experience:

The placements offered are great, and above the average of other colleges. This year, D. E SHAW has offered a package of 22.5lpa, making it the highest package offered for the year. The average revolves between 5-7lpa. Most of the students who sit for placements get placed

A REVIEW ON COLLEGE LIFE IN CHRIST UNIVERSITY.

Likes

People can make connections very easily like there are various types of people to collaborate with.
People come from various parts of world, if you connect to them that is an advantage.
Course is very vast, so that you can learn various topics and then have an option to choose.

Dislikes

Makes us fully focus on corporate not with a business perspective.
Doesn’t support co-curriculuar activities especially in BBA.
Minimum attendance is 85% which makes most of the student to repeat year, even having genuine medical conditions.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd years, which is students get eligible from 5th semester for campus placements. Companies visit starts in 5th semester ususally. Companies like tresvista, Urban Company, De Shaw,Bain, Everest, ICICI Bank. Highest Package is given by De Shaw which is 22lakhs p.a and this time they took around 16-17 this year. After that bain gives around 14 lakh per annum. Average package is around 5-6 lakhs

Christ University is a very good option for M.Sc. Clinical Psychology as it offers course with the disciplinary advances. The course addresses knowledge about Psychological functioning. The university provides hands-on experience in the course.

Christ University is one of the best private universities where you can pursue an M.Sc Data Science program. You can apply for admission in this program if you have completed a BCA degree or a B.Sc degree in Mathematics/Computer Science/Statistics from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
