Amrita school of engineering review

Likes

Academic structure followed and the practical lab execution
College atmosphere and bond between student and teachers

Dislikes

Some strict rules that are unnecessary for the students
Hostel food menu is same for the whole 4 years

Placement Experience:

Placements are really going well. Students from 7th semester will be eligible for placements. Highest package until now is 52lpa and the company name is paloalto every year nearly 96-98% students will get placed every year.

College Atmosphere is good ...There is positivity in college
Fests and other activities are often held

Dislikes

Curriculum for is tough.Always have exams ,quiz or assignments
There is no time for your personal things coz ur always held up with college academics

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem end placement drive starts .6.5 gpa above for mass recruiters and 7.5 above for core companies.Microsoft ,Google ,Cisco etc often hire students with good packages of 50lpa -20 lpa .... Highest for ece was from mathworks around 28 lpa and avg is around 8 lpa for ece .Almost 95 percent get placed in ece .after btech I'm planning to do mtech becoz ece btech won't fetch u alot in terms of knowledge and experience

Amrita- a college which helps solidify your career

Likes

The faculty and staff are very friendly and helpful
They provide good career guidance as well as academic guidance

Dislikes

The college falls short in terms of extracurricular activities
The students are not given the freedom to wear their own clothes

Placement Experience:

The percentage of students getting placed is around 92%. The students don't need to worry about being placed as long as there are no backlogs. The students are trained for the placement interviews by the CIR team. My plans after acquiring the degree is to pursue my higher studies in MBA

The placements are very good with the highest offer being 50-60 lpa
The campus life is the best, there are lots of clubs

Dislikes

Ordering food to the college is not allowed
Nonveg food is not allowed in college, you can be fined

Placement Experience:

The placements are really good in our college, as said earlier we have an different department that deals with placements, the highest offer in our college was 50 lpa, many companies like Honeywell, Bosch, Larsen and toubro have come for recruitment

I've liked the availability of the staff here and their immediate response to the students who reach of to them
Limited intake and high standard teaching skills

Dislikes

All the staff aren't really experienced could've had faculty who has more experience
Campus infra could be much better than what we have here now

Placement Experience:

Coming to last year placement..they were down...many students here aren't placed .only the students from cse dept got placed and others had to search jobs outside of the campus irrespective of the placements.highest package last year was 25 lpa I guess not sure about that .iam currently planning to go into business after my btech

My Opinion about my college

Likes

Faculty and curriculum is good and labs are fully equipped and best
Good spacious library with a lot number of books

Dislikes

Like no food is allowed to hostel from outside ,only cash is preferred
Only vegetarian food is allowed and non veg is not allowed

Course Curriculum Overview:

Here the curriculum is good and faculty is good and labs are good equipment. Faculty will be friendly and syllabus will be up to date and exams will be like mid will be moderated to some diffy and end sem will be little more diffy .and once you join this college you will be allotted a faculty advisor and he/she takes care of you

Timetable for the course and conduction of exams

Dislikes

Timings for the students to go out after the classes
Process for going out for a student is a headache

Placement Experience:

From semester 6 students are eligible for placements . students with no backlogs are only eligible and one needs to clear them if they have any to attend for placement and almost 70-80 percent places every year but it didn't happen this year due to recession
