Placements which is very good especially or my branch ECE
Single rooms from 2nd year onwards is really a plus point for me
We have absolute grading so the environment isnt toxic like in RG

Dislikes

No Gym in the campus. We need to go somewhere outside
Strict 75% attendance policy is annoying
Overall the campus is very small with no proper auditorium so a compromise there

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good here, the reason most people choose this college. Average package for top branches go upto 22-27 lpa with median being around 17-20 lpa. The highest package offered remains 83 lpa offered by Atlassian; they gave 6 full time offers this year. Companies start vising campus for internships as soon as your 4th semester gets over.

Infrastructure and maintanence, sports fest and cultural nights
Seniors are very good in colleges they support in each and every step mad guide you for the future
Best things is their is no ragging in the campus

Dislikes

Sometimes the pressure of exam is too much
Sometime some best event occur at time of end exam
Mess food is sometime too much bad it must be improved

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose btech computer science course because I am interested in these type of things like technology and computer . Faculty members are good they are highly qualified they all are PhD holder from different IITs and best way to teach . Term exam are held twice named as mid sem and end sem which took place almost every 3 month gap . Level of paper is sometime difficult for subject like chemistry, mechanics , math but overall teachers are good they give marks

As it has NIT tag and I belong to cse branch.
I must include academic building which is so much attractive.
Placement and faculty are awesome as per data.

Dislikes

Poor infrastructure, need to improve here.
Syllabus is major concern as it is too long to complete in too short time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As computer science is most demandable branch of this era. I am looking for IT sector job that's why I opt cse . Here faculty members are awesome they all are PhD holder which can be seen while they teach. We have to attend 2 exams one is mid sem which is of 30 marks total and second is end sem of 50 marks. As nit are topmost college of India so it is really difficult to pass In college as being topmost branch cse . There are extreme competition among the batchmates as we all are cream students of nation.

Placements at NIT JAMSHEDPUR is very good especially for Computer science and engineering branch
Here seniors are very helping and always guide juniors in every field
Campus Life is also decent your four year will not go much boring

Dislikes

Infrastructure are still developing. We don't have auditorium in our college
75% attendance is must in our college which is huge task for many students

Placement Experience:

From the third year students are eligible for internship and from fourth year students are eligible for campus placements. Their are a lots of companies that visit aur college every year . Top recruiters are atlasian and many more. Highest package of computer science and engineering branch is 83.40 LPA and it's Average package is 27 LPA Highest package of Electrical engineering branch is also 83.40 LPA and it's Average package is 17.98 LPA Highest package of Electronic and Communication Engineering branch is also 83.40 LPA and it's Average package is 22.03 LPA . NIT JAMSHEDPUR REVIEW

Likes

Placement offered. Average package is very good.
Coding culture. Seniors guide us roadmap.
Exams are not difficult to pass. You can easily score 8 CGPA.

Dislikes

Sports is not so much developed here. Facilities are not enough.
There is no gym so no fitness. Sports is not so much considered here.
Campus is very large and it is not near the main market. So you have to travel a lot.

Placement Experience:

Students of 7th semester appear for placement interviews. Companies like Amazon, atlassian, tata steel, Paytm, Qualcomm, phone pe, ola,Uber etc visit here. Highest package was 83lpa offered to 6 students by atlassian. Average package of CSE is 26lpa. Overall average is 15.81lpa. They basically offers software role. Apart from that core role is also offered. Overall placement is more than 95% . In many branch it is 100%. I am planning for on campus placement and job as software engineer.

The first thing I like about my college is the placement, placement of NIT Jamshedpur very very good
Club Culture of NIT Jamshedpur, many technical club men sports club you can go where you are interested
Fest of NIT Jamshedpur, technical first like ojas sport fest like urja

Dislikes

Open campus of NIT Jamshedpur, the campus of NIT Jamshedpur is open the ni are a freaking of Jamshedpur is very low
In NIT Jamshedpur there is no closed auditorium which has capacity for whole college

Placement Experience:

The placement of NIT Jamshedpur is very very good. 4th year comedies visit campus and give the packages the highest packages in 2022 is 83 lakh per annum, package of whole NIT is a like 16 lpa, for CSE branch the average package is 26 lpa which is great, package for ECE branch is also 20 lakh which is also good, percentage of NIT Jamshedpur is also good branch like metallurgy production also have the good placement percentage

Likes

The campus life is good.The facilities at the college and hostel are decent m
Campus life is really enjoyable.As there are many cafes and canteens in the campus where you can hang out with your friends.
Overall infrastructure is decent.The college is built at a roomy locality.So you can explore them.Faculty is not so cooperative but students and seniors are.

Dislikes

The academics and the pressure which are put on students
The teachers are not so cooperative in many subjects.
All the fests end at 9 pm which I hate the most.

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th sem are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Atlassian,Amazon,TCS visit the College and offer good packages. This year 6 students got the package of 83lakhs/annum from Atlassian. Average package for CSE stood nearly 27 lakhs/annum. Nearly 97% students got placed.

I liked the coding culture here,as senior visit to junior classes from the very start ,guide the juniors about coding journey
I liked the light atmosphere here ,due to seniors guiding in preparing for semester exams like what are the resiurces to use
Faculty members are passionate about their branches ,as they their their students to gran good package in placement season

Dislikes

Open boundary infrastructure, althogh there are very less chances of any mishappening.
Hectic shedule ,compulsory 75 percent attendence ,we get tired of attemding classes everyday
Presence of campus in an industrial are ,leads to heavy water ,dusty atmosphere

Placement Experience:

Placement is the key factor attracting people fro. Varios other states.For this year 6 students of our college gets a mn package of 83 ctc from atlassian in software.Almost all top comapnies visit our college. Last year 100 percent Placement in many branches having an avg oackage of 15.98 of all. Branches.

I liked greenary here 8 live cleanliness in roads here. The curriculum, the idea of doing fests like sports cultural technical that helps in overall development of students. They also keep planning certain events that keep us entertained and engaged

7th semester. but one can sit for an internship in 3rd year around 200 companies visited and almost all got placed the location of this college serves as a plus point 90 percent of people get placed my plan after getting a degree is to get placement.

The course is primarily focuses on the computers,operating systems and its software of which I like the most from my childhood. There is so much of scope in this field.faculty to student ratio is of standard.A student can reachout faculty and clarify their doubts but a teacher cannot inspect and care about every student.The term exams are at the interval of standard times but there is so much difficulty to score high in these exams.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.

Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.

Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.

Academics

The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
