- The ambience greenery here and there is quiet calming for someone who came from a main city
- Behaviour of students of different states, we all collab here with each other
- Classroom and hostel facilities are dam good and comparable to few newer IITs also.
Dislikes
- Absolute marking scheme in semester exams is a nightmare
- Strict 75% attendance criteria which should be followed in order to appear in semester exams
- Lack of availability of market nearby the institute campus.
Placement Experience:
From the 5th semester onwards you will be eligible for 2-month summer internship opportunities and 7th semester onwards you will be eligible to apply for 6-month internships and FTEs. Companies like TATA STEEL, Amazon, Deloitte, and ZS associates are a few of our prominent recruiters. The highest package is 80LPA and the Average package is of 11 LPA around 95% students are placed every year.

- Daimond jubluie Lecture hall complex is amazing where classes held.
- Central library facilities are very good.
Dislikes
- Campus of Nit jamshedpur is open so due to these our campus road is common for local village also.
- Only few shops in college so they have their monoploy.
- No any nearby good tourist place for vaccation.
Placement Experience:
Placements scenario of our college is good and quite decent . As an average everyone get 10-12 lpa irrespectective of any branch .
Almost 90 percent of students placed every year and many opt for higher education like MBA .
After completing my course i want to become an government officer in IES .

Course Curriculum Overview:
A very qualified professors are there. Few of them are engaged in the research also.Almost everybody have completed their graduation from well reputed colleges nits and its. Ece is the course which is as important as cse branch. For the running of computer chip designing is required and ectronics branch deals with it. In nit Jamshedpur there is a very good student faculty ratio in circuital branches. Most of the faculty is supportive and helps in project internship and placement.The will be two semisters in a year and one mid semester and an end semester. Mid semester is for thirty marks and the end semester is for fifty marks. The remaining twenty marks are internal marks which are allocated by attendence class test and assignment .many colleges have relative grading but nit Jamshedpur have obsolute grading. So it becomes tough to get high score. Ninty plus is ten credits eighty plus is nine credits and seventy plus marks is eight credits sixty plus marks is 7 credits fifty plus is6

- Campus is too small. and because of open campus you have to face some difficulty.
Placement Experience:
In the end of 4th sem you become eligible for the internship..and at the end of 6th sem you become eligible for the campus placement.. Companies like AMAZON, ATLASSIAN, ADOBE visit the college. the hoghest package was offered by the atlassian is of 83 lpa and was grabbed by 6 students..

- Very hard question paper according to teachers class notes
Course Curriculum Overview:
I opted for bachelor of technology as a I had interest in that student is 127 their teaching methods is good and are very intelligent but you should study by yourself too

Dislikes
- I disliked the teaching style of professors. They tech very slowly initially but when exam comes they teach soo fast
- The strictness in checking copy of our exams
- There are no proper labs in our college which is very bad
Placement Experience:
Seventh and eighth semester students are eligible for campus placements. In our NIT Jamshedpur this year 2023 highest placement was 83 LPA and average placement was 15.98 LPA. Till now 98.87 percent students have been placed in our college.

- Placement for the core branch is excellent as non core .
- Classroom is just like as an IITs. I like it the most.
Dislikes
- As their is nothing to dislike but if compared.
- Fest were not conducted upto the mark according to me .
- College is open campus that I dislike the most .
Placement Experience:
*Placement are awesome in this college. As you know for the core branch placement are low . But the special thing of this college is that almost 97% of the students of all the core branch get placed.
*From 3rd year you are avail to get internship.
*For girls you are avail to intership opportunity from 2nd year

- Placement stats are really good,NIT Jamshedpur stands in top 5 nits as far as placements are concerned
- The classrooms are huge and well equipped.
- The food quality in the mess has been good.
Dislikes
- The NIRF ranking of the college is too low.
- Some of the campus amenities like gym are absent.
- Some of the labs in the campus are not maintained well.
Placement Experience:
From 4th year the students will be eligible for placements.In the year 2023, around 250 plus companies had visited and 750 plus offers had been made.The highest package was recorded as 83 lakh whereas the average stands at 15 lakh ,the average package of CSE is 26lakh.The percentage of students placed are around 98.

- Campus is lush green and fresh. It spans across 325 acres.
- New Academic building is very well equipped.
- Campus life is good. Ample amount of free time to pursue hobbies.
Placement Experience:
Placements at NIT Jsr are much better than many of the new IITs. 3rd yr students are allowed for 2 month Summer internship opportunities while final yr students are allowed for Full time roles as well as 6 month internship during final semester.
Placement % is more than 90% for almost every branch.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.
Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.
Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.
Academics
- The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
- Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
- The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
Placement Reports:
A few major recruiting companies are (in respective branches) as follows.
- CSE: Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle
- ECE: Amazon, Oracle Finance, Wipro, Mahindra Comviva
- EEE: Tata Steel, JSW Steel, L&T, BPCL
- ME: Tata Motors, L&T, Tata Steel, BPCL
- MME: JSW Steel, Vedanta, Tata Metaliks, Tata Steel
- CE: Simplex, L&T
- PIE: Tata Hitachi, JK Tyre, JK Paper, Tata Motors
FIITJEE, Rao Academy, Career Point, etc, are examples of coaching institutes that recruited as well. The highest package received was 30 LPA while the average salary was 12 LPA
Extracurricular Activities:
The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
