Daimond jubluie Lecture hall complex is amazing where classes held.
Central library facilities are very good.

Dislikes

Campus of Nit jamshedpur is open so due to these our campus road is common for local village also.
Only few shops in college so they have their monoploy.
No any nearby good tourist place for vaccation.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose Btech 4 yr course in electrical engg. Because it is very good branch for core placements all other government job seeking aspirants. Faculties are good here and very helpful 4:1 boys to girls ratio. All faculties have done their higher degree of qualification in Phd . We have 2 exam per semester 1 is mid sem and other is end sem . Mid sem takes place 45 days just after start of semester and at the end of semester.

Class Size: 115Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements scenario of our college is good and quite decent . As an average everyone get 10-12 lpa irrespectective of any branch . Almost 90 percent of students placed every year and many opt for higher education like MBA . After completing my course i want to become an government officer in IES .

Fees and Financial Aid

Here if u are pure general students then fees is almost Rs 110000/ sem . If u are obc / gen ews then Rs 45000/sem If u are sc/st students then Rs 30000/sem Note : all these fees include hostel and mess fees also. There are many scholarship oppurtunity for all category students

Campus Life

We all have 3 annual fest in our college 1) annual sports fest - URJA 2)annual cultural fest- culfest 3) annual technical fest- ojass We all have very big central library in which all types of books are available which we can study inside library as well as issue the book to study in hostel on library card. There are many cultural and technical club run by students of nit jamshedpur. For example Cultural cub- Invicta, Aahwan,Faces,beatbreaker,Rooh etc.. Technical team- revanta, daksh,DRT, innoreva,pheonix, Rays etc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are good . Cleaniness is done daily for bathroom and corridors. Quality of meal is good and hygenic. We all get single room from 3rd sem till 8th sem. We all have to done hostel registration after every semester if we change our hostel .

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

I gave jee main as an entrance exam. I got 97.6 percentile in jee main. Everything is available on NTA and jossa website . No the admission process is good. Admission process is purely online and very easy .

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
