Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I wanted a core branch in nit college.There are almost above 114 students in each branch with above 20 girls in each branch. Teachers are good with good classes. Mid semester exams are conducted after every 3 months from the starting of the semester.

Class Size: 114Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I don't know much about the internships of this college but students form third year mainly involved in the internships from many companies like HP, Google etc. Projects are also given to the students.

Placement Experience

From third semester students are applicable for internships etc. and for Campus placement mainly fourth year students are applicable for it. Some companies like HP, Samsung,Tata Steel etc. comes for recruitment.

Fees and Financial Aid

College fees is affordable for a student and with scholarship it is good enough to pay. College gives fee remission to all students as well with some conditions in it. Some scholarships are also there for reducing the amount as well like E-kalyan etc.

Campus Life

Life at the campus is very good. There are many things to explore in college. Some fest are also held by the college like one of the recent one was Urja. Library is also good with availablity of books. There are many clubs as well.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are good for first years and these are double seated rooms as well. Mess quality is not so good of hostel. Hostel fee is affordable as well. Wifi qualities of hostel are very poor. Network issue are also a major problem.

I got the admission from jee mains entrance exam in which I got 8050 OBC rank. I got the seat from josaa 6th round in electrical engineering branch of nit Jamshedpur. All details of application form,fees and dates are in the official websites of nit Jamshedpur.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
