My view on my college

Likes

I liked the placement of nit jamshedpur which is 23 lakhs of my branch
I also liked the clubs of nit jamshedpur
The hostels of nit jamshedpur are very good

Dislikes

I disliked the less utilization of space in nit jamshedpur
There is no enthusiasm for startup cultre in nit jamshedpur
mess food does not match any standards. It is below average

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course has better future . The faculty student ratio is pretty good which is 1:10 The faculties are well qualified all have completed their phd's from prestigious colleges. If you study regularly,it is very easy to pass the exams

College has so many clubs including cultural and technical clubs
There are also special priority for the sports and athletic

Dislikes

The college is open. There are so many vehicle passes through college this makes crowd

Placement Experience:

The highest package attained by student this year was about 80-85lpa by 5 student. Average package is about 12lpa.About 97-98% of student get placement every year. The placement profile of the nit jamshedpur is very good.

Likes

Coding culture is nice. There a lot of clubs to learn from
Placement is the main motive for people to take admission here
New lecture hall complex and hostels are key features here

Dislikes

Sports culture and infrastructure is not quite good
College lacks a auditorium which are available in most engineering colleges
There is not much research work going on in the college

My course of electronics and communication engineering is mixture of electrical engineering and computer science and is opened for opportunities from both Faculty and student ratio is good. There are two exams in a semester mid sem and end sem.

My point of view about nit Jamshedpur.

Likes

Here sports facilities are good and I like it. And also placement facilities are good. Our campus life is fascinating.
Here many quiz or hackathon are organised for students.
Every hostel has a night canteen which I like .

Dislikes

Campus should be better. More construction are required.
Here girls are not getting single room even in final year which should be consider for future.
Academic pressure is real here. We have to attend classes from 8am to 5:30 pm

Placement Experience:

Our campus is known for its placement. Nit Jamshedpur campus placement are getting better per year. Here are some eligibility criteria for sitting in placement like we have to maintain a required cgpa and some technical skills. Here almost 250+ companies visited in last year some of them are tata steel , tata motors , Godrej , Vedanta , Oracle, Adani, HP , Philips etc.

Likes

The placements is quite good so i like the placements.
I like the hostel facilities provided by the college
There are a lot of good clubs and societies which i like.

Dislikes

The campus is not fully covered and sometimes there are locals in the college
The college is in the inside area which is a little annoying
Some professors are not quite supporting and thus

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are very good and provides a good placement in all branches. In my branch the average CTC is around 27LPA . Even in core branches the placement is above 10LPA.The highest placement in CSE branch is 83 lpa.

I liked the college but need more time to adapt it

Likes

The fests are good as we enjoy a lot in the fest
In every month's there are one events or other to uplift your skills
The senior are very helpfull ,they always shows helping hands whenever you asn from them

Dislikes

The campus life is not so good because I think we have open campus in our college
Sex ratio is not so good ,for every girl there are 3-4 boys
The auto service charge is very high for small distance too you have to rent it and give a large amount

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario of our college is very good because of that only I have selected this college ,almost every students get placement our college previous year placement percentage was 98% overall so I didn't think about placement right now

Likes

The first thing is the campus placement.
The second thing is the hostel facility.
The third thing is the environment and buildings of the college.

Dislikes

The lack of good exposure of the college campus.
The open campus of the college which is not good for the students.
Very less time is given to the students for the daily sports.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of my inspiration to become a good software engineer.all the faculties members are very much supportive who are ready to help the students in their study everytime.The ratio of the student is 1:6 where there is 1 for the girl and 6 for the boys .All the faculties members are PhD holders and they have good teaching skills .in every semester one mid sem and one end sem exam is conducted in the gap of 2 months . It's little bit difficult to pass the exam but the continuous study of the student let them pass easily.

I like the placement,hostel facilities.and infrastructure

Placement Experience:

In 7th and 8th semester students are eligible for the campus placementlots of companies are visited in the campus like atlansian, Deloitte, Wipro, Adobe, tata steel, tata motors,etc. in previous year around 98 percent students are placed but this year due to recession the placement decreases to around 60 percent.

Glimpse of nitjsr

Likes

No classes on saturday and sunday.teachers are helpful
Gym outside the hostel..whenever you want u came
No restriction on outgoing. .you can go outside with friends

Dislikes

No auditorium in nit Jamshedpur, no washing machine in hostel
Poor wifi connection in hostel ,lane port ate not working properly
There should be two girls per room..no any advance facilities for parents

Placement Experience:

Third-year student become eligible for campus placement Companies visited are Amazon, Microsoft, oracle, infosys, deloitte, paytm, byjus, optum and more than 750 job offers and 250;companies visited. The highest package is 85lpa while avg is 35lpa. 100 percent students placed in the electrical branch in 2023.. After getting degree I want to join any tech companies like microsoft, Amazon.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.

Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.

Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.

Academics

The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.

Extracurricular Activities:

The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
