Likes

The fests are good as we enjoy a lot in the fest
In every month's there are one events or other to uplift your skills
The senior are very helpfull ,they always shows helping hands whenever you asn from them

Dislikes

The campus life is not so good because I think we have open campus in our college
Sex ratio is not so good ,for every girl there are 3-4 boys
The auto service charge is very high for small distance too you have to rent it and give a large amount

The course and curriculum and the faculty members are very helpfull they always guide us whenever we need help from them the motivates us to do good things . I selected mechanical engineering because I find it interesting so I choosed mechanical

Placement Experience

The placement scenario of our college is very good because of that only I have selected this college ,almost every students get placement our college previous year placement percentage was 98% overall so I didn't think about placement right now

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for the btech could at nit jamshedpur for 4 years is around 8-10 lacks ,but for st,sc and other students whose family income is less then 1 lac per year then all get benefitted by - their tution fees are not taken they only have to give the hostel and the mess fees .

Campus Life

The campus life is not good enough as we have open campus and not very much visiting places for enjoyment, for studying we have a very good library,the fests are good here as they are well executed by our seniors

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are good enough to sustain a good 4 years of life ,in rooms we are provided with one almirah each for both students as in 1st year in one rooms we have 2 students and from second year we get our personal rooms, and in rooms we are provided with fan one switch board .

Hostel Fee: INR 15000 per year

Admission

First you need to give an entrance exam called jee mains then if you are eligible then give the exam called jee advance,for nits if you score good percentile in jee mains the you are eligible for my college. Application form and other necessary information are available in the site called jeemains.com and from there you go ..

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
