Overall the faculty at nit srinagar is good they provide us with good study material and they have average speaking skills we can understand their lectures easily jsnsnjdjdhdhshshhsjsjshhshshshshshshhshshshshhshshshshshshhshshdh
It has a beautiful campus and the best facilities the library has a huge amount of books and has free wifi speed like 100mbps.
In nit srinagar campus placement is very good many companies visit and they offer good packages highest packages in our college is 40-50 lpa that is good and many companis like tata hcl visits out college

Dislikes

Placements are very poor as only 20-30% students get placed with an average package of 6lpa!
Rapid development must has to present here which feels bad about this college.
There are no oncampus internships you have to find one your own and let college know about it.they put restrictions on everything and no proper leave is given for the internship facilities mentor you correctly and guide you

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Likes

The weather condition of mine college was good , Faculty was so supporting well stablished labs and classrooms
Non teaching staff was also good and supportive
campus was small so easy to access all college was easy

Dislikes

College canteen must be improved surely as soon as possible.
Mess facilities must be Monitered and cafe should be more professional
Campus was too short and sports facility must be improved

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

Likes

Beautiful and scenic campus as it is surrounded by the beautiful mountains and serenic dal lake with lush green environvent and peaceful atmospher
Decent Infrastructure and facilities, collage has decent classroom, laboratories, and library, allowing students for better exposure to their subject
It is old collage so it has good alumini network and good placement record, with supportive faculties

Dislikes

As it is in srinagar, kashmir so it has less connectivity and accessiblity
Quality of mess food often raise concern among students and issues regarding taste of food
poor wifi connectivity and availability at some hostels

Our college is the most beautiful nit among all nits
Our college has a kind of peace which leads to many useful thoughts
Our faculty who are kind hearted towards students and teach the subject in a good way

Dislikes

Our college food need to improve alot , snacks should be provided and food should be delicious
The level of research should be increased and the equipment should be provided
Water facility should be maintained , improve pipe lines

There are a good opportunities for placements in our college. Our course,civil has an average package of year is 11 lakhs. In future it may increase as civil engineers demand is increasing. This year nearly 70% of students get placed.

In college the classes of per week is very less so if you want to prepare for anything, can do
Campus is also beautiful, and arround the campus many places for enjoying
Exam paper is also normal, so you can easily clear and focus on other any thing

Arround the campus very high paying Market, and for eat anything is not good
Campus placement is very very bad condition
In one room of hostels 5-6 students,so this is very very bad for everyone

In this college with the civil branch, placement is very bad, we say arround the 4 LPA, so placement is very bad, but with the civil engineering college is good, because In civil many of government exams, and college gives you time for preparation

Dal lake is present behind our college very beautiful
In winter season campus look very snowy which is awesome

Campus area is small so we have not many places
Placement is about 20 to 40 lac highests
There are not too many fest and not big fest

I think from 3rd year or 4rth year college student are eligible for campus placement there are a lot of companies came here every year for placement highest placemnet of this college is about 50 lakh and above

The hostel and mess are amazing. we get good accomodation plus good food
Security which is often question for kashmir but in nit srinagar there is tight security which is good for students
Teacher are highly educated and give real life experience while teaching.

Dislikes

Classroom tables are so aching they are not comfortable which must be replaced as while u give 2 hours lecture itz so hurting
Restriction of going out. Here are many restriction we cant go out after 7 pm it seems like a boarding school
Exams which are very often and events are so boring

There are many caretakers inside the hostel who take good care of students
Campus infrastructure is good and well maintained and the buildings look beautiful with the scenic background
Classrooms are modern and the wooden aesthetic looks great. There are also a lot of parks and a lot of trees making the air quality great. I love being connected with nature

Dislikes

Campus area is small thus lesser facilities in the campus but the necessary ones are there
College fests aren't as expected and slightly disappointing due to many restrictions. Funds for fests are not nearly enough thus making them disappointing
Girls to boys ratio is 1:5 which is not very good. Girls should be more in number

Placement Experience:

Im from first semester so i dont really know about placements very well but 3rd year seniors are perfectly eligible for placement opportunities normally its just hard for them to get placements in 3rd year. I have two main plans after getting a degree. 1st is to get a placement at a PSU which will enable me to secure a well paying job and the other is to get a job in the IT sector .

The enviornment is really good you can go on trips whenever you feel to as kashmir is just a heaven on earth
The interaction between senior and juniot is good everyone is helping in nature
The faculy are also well qualified from IIT, NIT and foreign institutions

Dislikes

The thing I disliked is that there are 5 students in a room till 3rd year
The mess food quality is also not really good
As it become really cold in night there is not any such night life

Life At NIT Srinagar

Likes

The classrooms are really good. Library is amazing. Hostels are amazing. Canteen is good but needs improvement.
Social interactions are good in general. Faculty is average and needs improvement. Placements are good in CSE/IT/ECE but other branches need improvement.
Course curriculum although relevant for professional development, is not upto the mark for personal development

Dislikes

Girls to boys ratio is poor. Faculty is average and some are below average as well. Timetable is hectic
Labs are not upto date and need improvement. Canteen is really unhygienic.
Ragging is prevalent in this college even after signing anti ragging affidavit

Placement Experience:

From 8th semester students can apply for placements. Indigo oil, amazon, apple etc visit the college. Highest package is about 40 lpa while average is 8lpa. Placements are excellent for CSE/IT but other branches don't get a lot of opportunities. I plan on qualifying GATE or JE exam after my degree.

Teachers are highly qualified. having lot of experience
Good senior- junior interaction. very helpful

Placements are not as good as they should be
Lot of restrictions for girls especially
Less campus area about 64 acres only.
