NIT Hamirpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

In the college there were a lot of companies such as amazon, TATA, reliance, infosys, wipro, tcs, etc. These all organisations are very reputed and have good experience of hiring candidates from different areas. So in these placement rounds out faculty and placememnt unit had trained us to grab the opportunity of placement giving initial packages of 10 LPA.

Companies start visiting the college for placements of final year(7th and 8th semester) students. This year's placement drive was virtual and many big companies like Amazon participated in the drive. Samsung R&D and Paytm were the major recruiters with a good CTC.

College have training and placement cell which handles the internship and placement related matter n the campus. Placements starts duing starting months of 7th semester of Bachelors. Placement in IT companies are relatively easier than in core companies. Companies like Paytm, Samsung, Wipro, Wellsfargo, Gap, Oracle come almost every year for placements. Highest package around 16lpa on-campus and but average placement is less than 10lpa as percentage of students getting placed in IT companies are more than in core companies that too on a less package, This is why students from core go for exams like GATE.

The students start getting placed from the 7th semester of their course as company starts to arrive. For computer science, there are ample opportunities and there is the placement of almost 90% every year. The highest placement on campus can go up to 30-40 LPA where there are examples of off campus placement of nearby 70-80 LPA. The average package is somewhere around 4-5 LPA. I dropped the campus placement for my studies.

The college has a good placement committee with the help of the placement committee college can reach the record of 100% placement. The placement committee is very dedicated and the committee is fully responsible for all kinds of placement activities in the college. The placement committee fully works as the guiding force for us so that we can place in good company. The highest package for our batch was around 35 LPA and the average package was around 12 LPA. Around more than 75+ companies visited our campus for the placement round.

As of now, I am in my second year. Our college gives placements as it is a government college with h hi placement. Companies visited like Google, Microsoft, Wipro, HCL, Bajaj, Maruti, TCS, Infosys, etc. The highest package is 10 crores per annum and the average package is 12 -15 lac per annum. As a student of grade, more than 8 get easily. As I want to do a job for experience and then want to do a startup.

From 3rd year students become eligible for placements. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Paytm, Flipkart, etc visited the campus. In my branch CSE, 100% placement is sure every year and no. of offers to CSE is approximately 1.5 times the no. of students. Highest package of 2021: 1.59 crore per annum(Bloomberg, New York) from the CSE branch. It is the highest ever package given to any student in any NIT. Average package: 9 lakhs per annum. 100% of students from CSE get placed. My plans after getting the degree are to grab a good placement and/or launch a startup.

Campus placement during my time is just way good. Many companies visited like amazon, Paytm, trilogy, siemens, NatWest, GaP, jio, Accenture, Deloitte, and many more startups. The highest package is 1.5 crore which is an international package. The average package of cse is good while branches like mech and civil are not so good.

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements, National Institue of Technology provides a placement cell which helps students with placements and prepares them for job interviews, Every student gets the opportunities to improve themselves to get better at craking their dream job, it also encourages students to see if they want to go into research rather than finding a job right after graduation. The highest package this year was 1.51 crore at Bloomberg, New York. My plan after getting the degree is definitely to purse higher education in Master of Science with the course of Game design and development, As it will help me get an internship in major Gaming studios like EA and UBISOFT, It will help me, in the long run, to get a job as a senior game developer in a big gaming studio, i love video games and i love creating things that are in my head to give another person the experience that i am seeing, This degree is just the first step in my journey to be a game developer

In the National institute of technology, Hamirpur is the most famous institute of India his placement is very good. In Computer Science the placement is 98%. All of the students placed in many companies like to Wipro ,TCS, IBM, Uber, Microsoft etc
