The faculty of our department is very nice. they have very strong knowledge of the subject and also they are involved in very good research project.
Yes college also provide many scholarships to students and they were too helping.
"hillfair"-this is the cultural festival of the college two unforgettable nights filled with fun, joy, laughter, entertainment, learning, bonding, interacting with batchmates as well as seniors for the overall growth.

Dislikes

The placements of my college have became quite bad gradually, and they have fallen quite badly .
Hostels and their washroom are in pathetic condition. mess food is also not up to the mark . overall hostel condition is not good. almirah and chairs are broken ,
Teachers and staffs are bit of biased to the himachal pradesh

NIT Hamirpur "Jannat"

Likes

One of the most beautiful campus with lush greenery around.
Hostel facilities are descent, hostels are changed every year.
Good placement opportunities, 80-90% of students got good packages.

Dislikes

Barring one or two companies like L&T, Technip, etc. core placements are not enough in civil branch.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is well designed in order to give every student taste of engineering. The course curriculum is very useful. Industry exposure for chemical engineers is provided. Students have classes from 9-6 and this way they don't get much time for developing their extra skills which are must in the industry.

Nith i known for its beautiful campus, greenery and atmosphere.
Nearby locations are very attractive to plan trip like manali, dharmshala, palampur etc
Weather in Nit h is incredible also the sunset view from open air theater is mesmerizing

Dislikes

The hostel rooms are ok ok sometimes water shortage issues are being faced by students here
Strict environment for students regarding outings

The course curriculum during the first year is the same for every branch but after the first year a department has its own courses regarding its subjects and the curriculum is almost the same as compared to every other institute having core subjects included.

Pros and cons of NIT hamirpur

Likes

NIT hamirpur has a beautiful campus with all the facilities.
NIT hamirpur has good and maintained infrastructure.
It has a good playground for sports activities.

Dislikes

Some parts need maintenance and cleanliness.
Improved placement services are required.
Improved hostel facilities are also required.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good as the faculty is also supportive so, they help the student in academics as well as in placements as a mentor. Curriculum prepare for the real world applications as teachers focus on that things that are used in real world.

Very supportive professor in the physics Department
One of the most beautiful campus in India
Overall good experience, in studies fun and other activities.

Dislikes

Placement scenario in the physics department right now since it is new department.
Hamirpur is the only city which have quick connection with the campus

Placement Experience:

Since 2024 was the first batch of physics department to get placed so it was a good start i would say with the average package of 6-7Lakh per annum, most of the students got placed, tech companies and research based companies visited campus

NITH an overview.

Likes

The greenry ,the love with nature,the peace here is far better than expectations.
No ragging is done here. So students feel safe here.
Rooms are well furnished and hostels have indoor badminton courts ground, tt court etc.

Dislikes

Hectic schedule especially for first year after that it is somewhat relaxed.
Some faculties are bad at their stuff yet some are exceptionally good but some don't know much about their subject.

Placement Experience:

Students after 2nd year can apply/appear for summer internship or along with winter intern programs thereby making their resume good . Placement are started when a student enters the 4th year in btech and companies start visiting the campus. They offer good packages highest was 2 crore off campus 1.73 cr on campus And min was 8 lpa

Simple and On point Infos

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for the placements from 7th sem, start of final year. for my year 2023, companies like carrier, byjus, axtria, microchip, bny melon, salesforce visited and 95% of the student were placed. Highest package reached to 25 lpa i suppose, and minimum went to 3.5lpa. My plans after getting a degree, is to work in my interested fields, have a good work experince, and after that might opt or the MBA

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. The departments are well equipped with necessary equipment and accessories.
Environment: NITH is on of the greenest NITs.

Dislikes

Connectivity: There are connectivity issues with the nearest railway

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that much good as compared to other nits. Computer Science and Engineering(CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering(ECE) have good placements compared to other core branches.

Beautiful Campus , Good environment , Well Qualified Teachers, Helping Seniors . Good opportunity for anyone looking to enjoy their 4 years to the fullest and in the scenic view of Himalaya's, with the best alumni network and in a competitive yet
helping environment. He and she must opt for my Institute

Dislikes

Not much as i enjoyed most of my time there yet i can answer one or two things that could be improved there like their Placement policies and the restriction of in-timings for the institue

Placement Experience:

NIT Hamirpur have a very good Placement cell and they are focused and working closely with every students and assisting them during campus placement sesion and we have a decent number of placement every session.

Nit hamirpur, good college life, average placements

Likes

The college provides decent placement opportunities for almost all branches
The campus of nith is very beautiful and lively
The departmental buildings are well equipped with experimental apparatus

Dislikes

The hostels of nith are pathetic and are not worth
There is disruption in water supply during some parts of year
The grading system is not at all good...it follows absolute grading

Placement Experience:

The college provides decent placement and the average packages of 7 lac per annum , you should be having around 6.5 cgpa for sitting in core placement and around 8 is good for applying in IT companies

Campus is green surrounded by beautiful mountains and fresh air around
Facilities are good there is a free e vehicle too which can help in travelling within the campus
Infrastructure is amazing great buildings are there by cutting mountains make it much appreciable

Dislikes

Remote location makes it quite difficult to travel
Animals are wild over here like monkeys are dangerous and can provide severe damage and also leopard are seen near due to remote location
Course curriculum is old for previous batch (however it is updated for newer batch)

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester company stars hiring students the eligibilty is set by the respective companies applying companies recruting are many like reliance, cread,unacademy, stryker corporation etc package varies as per branch overall it is 13 lakh for chemical it is 10 to 11 lakh per annum although it exceeds to 24 lakhs and for cse to 52 lakh About 80 % students get palced depending upon branch for cse it is 96%
