CU Haryana Admission FAQs

Ques. I got admission to CU Haryana B.Tech Computer Science. Should I go for it or choose a private college?

Ans. Definitely choose CU Haryana B.Tech CSE. Computer Science at CU Haryana has strong placement records with approximately 36% placement rate and median package of INR 3.42 LPA (highest reaching INR 24 LPA). The affordable fees (approximately INR 2.06 lakhs for 4 years) compared to private colleges (often INR 5-8 lakhs) make it an excellent value for money. You'll study under experienced faculty with access to modern infrastructure, research opportunities, and industry connections with top recruiters like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, IBM, and Microsoft. Private colleges often fail to deliver similar placements at much higher costs. CU Haryana CSE is the clear winner.

Ques. Is CU Haryana a good university for academics and research?

Ans. Central University of Haryana is an excellent choice for academic excellence with NAAC 'A' grade accreditation and NIRF ranking of 151-200. The university emphasizes research-oriented education with active PhD programs, research centers, and faculty publications. Students have access to comprehensive library facilities (54,000+ books, 6,600 e-books), well-equipped laboratories, and Wi-Fi enabled campus. The faculty are highly qualified with PhDs and research experience. For students pursuing research and planning higher education through NET/GATE/CAT, CU Haryana provides an excellent foundation. The peaceful campus environment supports focused academics and competitive exam preparation.

Ques. I want admission in B.Tech Computer Science at CU Haryana by CUET but I don't have 45% in PCM in class 12. What should I do?

Ans. Unfortunately, CU Haryana requires a minimum of 45% marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) in class 12 for B.Tech admission, with cutoffs varying between 50-60% depending on category reservations and seat availability. If you don't meet this requirement, you have limited options: first, attempt to improve your scores through improvement exams if your board allows it; second, consider pursuing B.Sc (Hons) in Computer Science or Mathematics at CU Haryana which may have lower requirements; third, explore diploma programs or vocational courses; or fourth, consider other universities with flexible eligibility criteria. Contact the CU Haryana admissions office directly to understand if any relaxations are available under special categories or if improvement exams are considered as per their latest guidelines.

Ques. How is Central University of Haryana for a master's in microbiology?

Ans. Central University of Haryana offers M.Sc Microbiology with strong academics focusing on research and practical training in microbial genetics, clinical microbiology, pharmaceutical microbiology, and environmental microbiology. The program is two years long with affordable fees around INR 26,758 total. Admission is through CUET PG scores followed by merit-based counselling. The microbiology department has well-equipped laboratories with modern equipment, experienced faculty with research publications, and access to CU Haryana's comprehensive library with 54,000+ books and e-resources. Placement and internship opportunities are available through university's Training and Placement Centre with average packages around INR 3.67 LPA for PG students. The university's NAAC 'A' accreditation and peaceful campus environment support research-oriented education. CU Haryana is an excellent choice for serious microbiology students planning research careers or higher studies.

Ques. What is the scope of an MCA at Central University of Haryana? What would be better, a private university or CU Haryana?

Ans. MCA at Central University of Haryana offers excellent scope with affordable fees (approximately INR 2,100 total for entire program) compared to private universities (often INR 5-10 lakhs). CU Haryana MCA provides strong computer science foundation with modern programming laboratories, experienced faculty, and curriculum aligned with industry requirements. Graduates secure placements with top IT companies through the university's Gurugram-based Training and Placement Centre. The two-year program emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Compared to private universities, CU Haryana offers better academic credibility with UGC recognition and NAAC accreditation at significantly lower costs. While some premium private universities may have slightly better placements, CU Haryana MCA provides excellent value-for-money and superior academic quality at one-tenth the cost, making it the clear winner for cost-conscious students without compromising on education quality.

AI-Generated Summary based on 4 Reviews

Admission to the B.Sc + M.Sc (Physics) program at the Central University of Haryana requires candidates to clear the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The CUET is the sole entrance exam necessary for applying to this program. After clearing the exam, candidates need to register with the university. The university then releases a cutoff list for the program, which typically is not very high. Candidates whose names appear in the cutoff list are eligible for admission through the counseling process.

For those whose names do not appear in the initial cutoff list, there is an open counseling option available. The admission process is straightforward: clearing the CUET, registering with the university, and participating in counseling based on the released cutoffs. The Central University of Haryana also offers hostel facilities, with a specific mention of accommodations for female students, which can be a deciding factor for some applicants. The proximity of the university to the applicants' hometowns can also influence their decision, making it an accessible choice for local students.

The CUET exam is mandatory, and there is no mention of direct or management quota admissions for this program, ensuring a transparent process based entirely on merit and counseling results.

Admission:

I choose CUH over other universities beacause of the stability and transparency it offers compared to universities under Aktu, such as lucknow university where initially i got addmission . AKTU has a reputation for unpredictable exam schedules , no flexibility in exam dates and question papers much often set by external teachers , which creates unnecessary stress for students. Its image on social media also reflects these issues , which made me reconsider continuing there. The addmissikn process here was smooth and hassle-free. Everthing was well-coordinated , and i did not face any problems during my addmission . This chill and students -friendly process gave me a positive first impression of the university. Overall , I choose this college beacause it provides more reliable academic environment , cooperative faculty ,and a transparent sydetm , which i found missing in AKTU-affiliated colleges.

I chose CUH because of the campus and infrastructure I saw online and because I did not want to go to CUJ and did not want remain stuck studying in Arunachal Pradesh. I also applied in DU and BHU but could not ho to BHU because I didn't have my 3rd Sem marskheet then and i could not go to du because I only got into du when I had already started going to CUH for a month. The admission process was very easy as everything could be done online. I don't know about the elibility and the cutoffs but I had 92 marks and I belong to st category but there were others most who had lower marks than me.
