CU Haryana: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 128 Reviews

The faculty at the college has a strong academic background, with many holding Ph.D. degrees and significant teaching experience. The permanent faculty is praised for their expertise, while guest and contractual faculty are noted as less experienced. The student-to-faculty ratio varies, with reports ranging from 15:1 to 1:100, affecting individual attention. Courses follow a semester-based system with two exams per year, each semester including two internal exams and one end-term exam.

Exams are considered moderately difficult, with a marking scheme of 70% for end-semester exams and 30% for internals. A mandatory 75% attendance policy is in place. Faculty-student relationships are generally positive, with faculty providing support and guidance, though there are some reports of less satisfactory interactions. The university offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including BTech and other courses, with varying faculty support depending on the program. Despite some areas needing improvement, such as outdated course material and differing faculty effectiveness, the overall faculty provides a supportive learning environment.

#every depatment is having every faculty needed but some are guest teachers some are permanent. faculties always encourage students towards studies but if they find you distracted by other activities held by university like: NCC ,Drama club , Cultural fest, OTHERS .They can scold you to better be focused to studies and priorties them . #i personally have liked dr somu yadav very much but as she recently got selected into post dog research and went to europe she is no further my faculty but we are having a personal touch with each other and she is just amazing and helps me in all acepts to do great in my life .
