JNU MBA : Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

JNU MBA Admission 2024 is ongoing. JNU has released the Second Admission/Merit List for MBA Phase 2 admissions. Candidates can check the List-2 result on the official admission portal of JNU (jnuee.jnu.ac.in). Admissions to the JNU MBA program are offered on the basis of CAT scores followed by the GD/PI round conducted by the university. Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi offers a two-year full-time residential flagship MBA program from Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship (ABVSME).

• The institute admits 75 students for its 2-year full-time flagship program on the basis of their CAT score.
• The MBA selection process at JNU comprises two stages i.e. clearing CAT and shortlisted candidates will be appearing in group discussion and personal interview rounds.

JNU MBA Eligibility Criteria

For admission to the MBA program, the candidates must have the following qualifications: 

• Candidates must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification must entail at least 3 years of education after completing higher secondary (10+2) or equivalent.
• General/OBC/EWS candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% percent aggregate marks (of all the years or semesters) or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying degree is required.
• SC / ST / PWD candidates require a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying degree.
• Candidates appearing for the final year of the bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.

Fees for the entire MBA Full-Time Programme is payable in equal instalments (4 Semesters) for all the category of students.

JNU MBA Admission Criteria

• All candidates desirous of seeking admission in the MBA programme should submit their application online at JNU website https://jnu.ac.in.
• All applicants seeking admission in the MBA programme must have appeared in the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs.
• Each applicant applying for admission in the MBA programme must submit his/her CAT Registration Number and CAT Score. JNU will use CAT score for short-listing the applicants for GD and PI for the MBA programme
• Based on the CAT score merit, the number of applicants shortlisted for GD and PI will be at least seven times the number of seats in each category.
• The final list of selected candidates will be based on CAT score and marks obtained in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview with respective weightage as 70%, 10% and 20% of CAT score. Check CAT Syllabus
• For Foreign National: The eligibility for admission in MBA programme for Foreign National will be valid GMAT Score (minimum 500) and a Bachelor’s degree.

For admission to MBA at JNU, you need to clear the two-stage selection process.

1. CAT Score

You must have appeared for the Common Admission Test (CAT). It is essential for the students to submit their CAT registration Number and score card at the time of filling the application form of JNU.

Step 1: Go to the official website and Register

The very first step would be to visit the official website of JNU i.e. i.e. https://jnu.ac.in/admissions. Click in the link “fill application form” and start filling the following details -

• Full Name
• Mobile/Contact Number
• Email ID
• Password

After this, a link would be shared by JNU on the registered email ID. Candidates will be required to click on the link and activate their web accounts.

Step 2: Fill the Application form of JNU MBA 2024

After activating the account, candidates have to login by using the registered email address and password and fill all the required academic, personal and professional details.

Step 3: Document Upload

In this stage, candidates are required to upload scanned documents of image, signature, marksheets, certificates as per the specifications provided under JNU MBA Admission 2024.

Step 4: Fee Payment

Once all the above information is filled and documents are uploaded, candidates have to pay the requisite fees. General/ OBC candidates have to pay Rs. 2000 whereas the SC/ ST/ PwD candidates have to pay Rs. 1000 as application fees.

JNU MBA Course Details 

For successful completion of MBA Programme of JNU ABV-SME, a student must earn a minimum of 80 credits during the 4 semesters. This is consistent with the UGC regulations.

• The College proposes the programme to be of 80 credits instead of 112 credits over the 4 semester in MBA Programme to keep it in consonance with most major government Management Schools.
• The numbering of the courses has been done on the basis of the areas in their discipline so the following nine areas have been identified as part of the courses of MBA Programme of ABV-SME:
