IIT Delhi offers MS in Research in both full-time and part-time mode. The minimum eligibility for MS (Research) is the qualification of B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Sc. or equivalent with (a) CGPA 6.00 on a 10-point scale or 60% marks in aggregate for General/ OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS Category. The selection to the course is done based on a valid GATE score.
IIT Delhi MS Eligibility Criteria
For MS (R) Full Time:
- For direct admission, i.e without written test/ interview candidates should have passed BE/ B.Tech or M.Sc with at least 75% (70% for SC/ ST/ PH) marks in aggregate along with a GATE score of minimum 300 (200 for reserved category)
- Admission based on written test/ interview, candidates must be graduates of B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Sc. or equivalent with (a) CGPA 6.00 on a 10-point scale or 60% aggregate marks for General/ OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS Category with valid GATE score. B.tech students from IITs with 8.00 CGPA without GATE score are also eligible for admission. AMIE /Grad. IETE is eligible if they fulfill the minimum eligibility of completing the undergraduate courses with 24 credits prescribed by the respective program.
- Other candidates require a GATE scorecard as part of the selection criteria.
- Sponsored full-time candidates required to provide sponsorship certificates from their employers.
For MS (R) Part-Time:
- Candidates must be graduates of B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Sc. or equivalent in relevant fields with (a) CGPA 6.00 on a 10-point scale or 60% aggregate marks for General/ OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ EWS Category and minimum experience. They must submit a No Objection Certificate from the employer and the organization should be located within 50km. of IIT Delhi.
- Part-time candidates must sit through a written test and/or interview conducted by the institute.
