Likes
- The faculty is AMAZING. They are very experienced and know what they are teaching.
- Seniors and professors are friendly and will guide you through your academic journey.
- Campus is clean and infrastructure is good too. The girls to boys ratio is like 50:50.
Dislikes
- Attendance is strict and it is mendatory to maintain 67%,else you'll have to write applications.
- No fun fest and events. HRC's principal Rama tries very hard to maintain discipline.
- Garden maintenance fee is charged but students are not allowed in lawn. Gym is currently closed.
Course Curriculum Overview
I find the curriculum academically rigorous and relevant, with a strong focus on economic theory and quantitative skills. Greater practical exposure and application-based learning would further enhance its real-world relevance.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid 32000 for my first year and it'll stay approximately same throughout the 2nd and 3rd year. Fees for general is slightly higher and slightly lower for sc st. Many scholarships are available for fee concession and one of them is dell aspire scholar program which provides 55000 per sem for accomodation, fee concession and a high performance laptop and many other benefits.
Campus Life
Hrc doesn't hold many fun festivals and events. There's freshers farewell fests and dandiya night. Library is very good. Facilities and infrastructure is good compared to other colleges. There's no cricket pitch,other than that most sports activities are offered. Theres many active societies to join in 1st sem.
Admission
Hansraj college falls under Delhi University and you'll have to clear cuet cutoffs to get admission into the college. Subject combination required for Economic hons is maths + english + 2 subject that you studied in your 12th. I didn't apply for any other universities.
Faculty
Faculty is Amazing. They are experienced. Every student is provided with a mentor to help guide them. Some of the faculty members are very friendly and approachable. Ms. Madhavi moni teach us stats and is very kind and sweet. Manan parashar who taught us Evs in 1st sem is strict in marking and I didn't like his opinions on topics like health and politics. There are 3 DSC and AEC,VAC,SEC exams. All of them are kind of easy if prepared. Rare students fail.
Night Life
Gym is closed as of now. Public area closes of at 4/5 but college stays open around 6/7. Hostel was closed for this year. Locality of HRC is north campus where there's a lot of students roaming around. Majnu ka tilla is famous and nearby.
