Remarks

The college is very small. But it is also a good thing. Because we don't have to walk alot frkm one class to another. It very convenient to goto other labs and workshops. Hostel is very nearby. Every department is in single building.

Course Curriculum Overview

Its a good course. Entire Kerala engineering students does this same course. Each year divided into two semesters.and there will semester end exams. Inbetween there will be internal examination. Overall mark will be taken to give CGPA.

Placement Experience

College doesn't provide internship. Placement is high on this college. One of the best placement providing college. Mostly everyone gets placed from college. It is a really good thing in this college.

College Events

In the odd semester there will excel - tech fest from this college. It is conducted by college students. It is a very good tech fest. And many of the students are participating in the event. In even semester there will be arts and El juego - A football tournament.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is different for different students as the entry is different. This is the general fees in all kerala. So it is not expensive. Because you can get a job with a lot of salary. Using this course fees they can manage the salary for teachers and upgradation in the college.

College offers many scholarship. Some scholarships are given by Government. One scholarship is given by the alumnis of college. It is given ifbthe students scored good marks in the exams. It is a very good scholarship.

Campus Life

College have many labs in one building itself. It is very usefull. College have advanced labs. We have sports meet yearly. College participates in external tournament in cricket football volleyball etc.

Alumni Students are very helpful. They provides scholarship. Seniors are very helpful. They provides helpful information about coming semesters. Supports in studying. Seniors are very friendly. Alumni network helps in conducting events.

Admission

I wrote entrance exam and applied in this college.I got selected then I submitted my certificates.I took TC from my previous school and given to college office.There were some procedure while entering the college.

They are very good. They are very willing to teach. There is enough faculty and enough facilities. They are well experienced and trained. Each and every staff in the college work for the betterment of the college.

MEC EEE REVIEW

I applied to cet, tkm, gec for branches eee and ec My first option was cet for which i couldn't get admission due to my rank. Cet requires rank below 1000. And my second option was mec (my college). MEC Thrikkakkara: Strong Academics and Placements, but Room for Infrastructure Growth

My cousin studied here few years back and is now working a top tech company.I applied for Cs in MSRIT and AMRITA,but the fee structure over there is too high(around 3-4 lakh per year).Here overall fee amount is equivalent the yearly fee.To get admission in MEC,a person needs to write keam exam .Three phases of allotment are held in here.At the beginning of all allotment,we could change our preferences.For CSE BATCH,CUTOFF RANK FOR merit is around 2k and Management around 3.5k .For CSBS it's around 3k for Merit and 7-8k for management....Read More

Good for social life but very minimal infrastructure and facilities

The reason I chose this college over other options were due to the prime location in which it is present and due to the city it is present in . MEC is renowned for the placement opportunities available in this college and is placed in the top 3 colleges in Kerala in terms of placemenets . The admission is based on the student's KEAM rank and this rank decides whether you get the Merit seat or management seat . For others you also have an NRI seat .
