Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum allows students who have not studied a particular subject in school to also understand what is being taught in college. Other than that the frequency and timing of exams is at the end of each semester so twice a year. The readings provided for the subjects could however be better.

Internships Opportunities

4

The placement cell offers various internship opportunities almost 3-4 per month and some our stipend based some are performance based. The companies offering keep on changing some of them are Deloitte, EY etc.

Placement Experience

4

There is a placement cell in the college. In first year you cannot be a part of it however they do inform you about dofferent types of internships etc. second year onwards you can be a part of the placement cell. The average package is 6-8 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly academic fees I paid was rs. 27180. The fees for other courses such as Eco hons., eng hons., is also same. For some courses like bvoc healthcare management the fees is 36,470. So overall the fee range is 27,180 - 36,470. There are various scholarship opportunities available such as The SMT. Kamalakshi Memorial Scholarship ( book grants relevant for study ) for BA Programme students, SH. Anand Prakash Johri Memorial Scholarship for students securing the highest marks in bsc maths hons., in 1st and 2nd year. Seema Nazarath memorial scholarship for the most outstanding student of Eco hons. There are various other scholarships and grants available for different courses.

Campus Life

5

There are a lot of societies in the campus like the entrepreneurship cell, ENACTUS ( social entrepreneurship), TEDxJMC ( to conduct TED like events independently ). Then there are dance and music societies as well and a large number of students take part in societies as they provide you with experiences and opportunities and enhance your CV as well. The campus has a lot of gardens and they are all well maintained. The college also offers sports like Football, Basketball etc. The campus is very lively every now and then we have some or the other event like Diwali mela, Montage ( college fest ) , society fundraiser, dandiya night etc. then the individual fests of societies

Admission

The admission process included giving the CUET exam and as per you subject combination in the exam you become eligible for different courses. Then you to fill the CSAS portal make a preference sheet and then you get allocations in 3 subsequent rounds. You have the option to either freeze your seat or upgrade it. Upon acceptance of the allocation you pay the fees and get admission. The overall cutoff is pretty high for top colleges like SRCC, Sukhdev etc. There were many colleges that I filled in my preference sheet but I didn't clear the cut off for them.

Faculty

5

The faulty for economics is very good, they are approachable and they make sure everyone understands what is being taught. For the tests it's a relieved that we do not have mid sem exams, instead we have to give 2/3 Internal assessment class tests ( generally of 12 marks ) and then we have to Complete 1/2 continuous assessments generally of 20 marks. They are at a moderate level.

Night Life

3

Our college does not offer hostels however the area around the campus is surrounded by embassies so it's pretty safe. We have a lot of hangout spots in the college like an open amphitheater, staircase in front of the Thevent hall, gym cr, bhelpuri corner, gardens, etc. And outside campus we have CP 15-20 min away, Satya Niketan 10 min away among various other places. But since there are no hostels and the area immediately out of college doesn't have much things to offer the night life is safe but mostly non existent as of now

Bcom that they offered was good enough to prepare one for the real world applications as various examples and field activities were also conducted by the college at that time . Teacher student ratio should be taken care of along with lethargic teaching methods like lecture method . Exams were held every 6 months and the difficulty level was easy.
