Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would rate the curriculum as neutral in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness . There are times when the curriculum feels manageable and straightforward, but at other times if can be challenging to keep up especially when professor provides vast insights beyond the syllabus. I choose BA programme because it offer more flexibility compared to a honours course. With two core subjects like - history and political science- I have advantage of pursuing the master's degree in either field .

Placement Experience

3

Ip college offers limited campus placements , primarily focus on skill- building and academic development. Students become eligible for placements in the final year, companies like Deloitte, KPMG , Ernst & young occassionally visits the campus with offering range from 3 LPA ( average) to 7 LPA( highest) for roles in consulting, content writing and analysis.

Fees and Financial Aid

During my three- year BA prog( history+Pol science) course , the fees varied each year . In the first year , i paid 28,000 which includes the tution fees and other charges. For the second year , the fees was reduced to approx 21,000 and in third year i paid approx 20,000 . In addition ,to the tution fees we were also required to pay examination form fees before receiving our admit cards for the semester exams.the examination fees based on the number of the subject and practical subjects. For instance, my amounted to approx 1100-1200 .this costs covers the essential expenses related to examination. It's important to note that the overall for the students depend significantly on the specific course they have opted for. for example student enrolled in BA History (hons)or general BA courses typically have dee structures similar to mine.

Campus Life

3

Campus Life in ip college was a blend of academic and social activities.though college is more concrete on academics . The library with good academic books and journals . Classrooms are modern and in a good condition. College hosts the annual festival of college - shruti, typically held in February or March . While it's smaller in scale compared to Dtu or hindu college fests . It's enjoyable , especially with good company

Admission

I appeared for CUET entrence exam and had to rank my college preference during the admission process. Hindu College of du is my first preference while indraprastha college for women ( ip) was my fifth . However consulting with my senior from my school who was studying in IP College, I learned that history and political science courses offered here are highly reputed .This influence my decision to prioritize ip college. Overall I'm happy with my decision , though it's a girl's college so sometimes you can miss boys from your school.

Faculty

3

My course is (his+Pol science) , particularly political science and history departments faculty members are approachable and supportive but also sometimes strict. While I don't dislike any faculty member as such there are instances where teachers can be quite strict specially english department. Their strictness sometimes makes classrooms atmosphere more formal . It's important to note that college life is different from school life the relationship between professor and students is professional

Night Life

4

The nightlife around college is safe and calm , as it is located in the civil lines area , known as for its good locality. The college canteens is is popular hangout places during the day , whole the metro station nearby serves as a convenient meeting point outside campus . The college gates are guarded by security guards , ensuring the safety of college in day and night .hostels and campus have fixed in timings typically around 8-9 pm . Facilities like- gym swimming pool, canteen area and library close by 5:30 pm .

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell which comes up with lots and lots of internship and job offers throughout the year, you get multiple new job opportunities every week but the campus placement is not all that great, B Com courses have somewhat decent placements. the college doesn't push very much or try much to get students placed, you're on your own.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
