Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course relevance and comprehensiveness depends on each paper offered, for eg. introduction to counseling psychology is not very comprehensive on the other hand Research methodology paper is very comprehensive. We do have practicals for most of the paper to understand the applicability of the paper.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees for first year is about 36000 (inclusive of admission fees, tution fees, etc.) and for the fees for 2nd and 3rd year is 26600. SC/ST students whose parent’s income is such that they are not paying Income tax are exempt from the payment of the College Tuition fee and College Admission Fee amounting to Rs. 185. They are required to submit an affidavit/document in support of this claim at the time of admission.

Campus Life

3

My college fest is about to happen in end of March and there are various other events like each department's own fest and each society's own fest. The college library is of 3 floors and offers range of books. Few class have protectors, but few of them work. The college doesn't have any student body that run independently and that is a negative point, and the college doesn't allow society's to have their own instagram handle like other college students have

Admission

I applied through cuet only. Indraprastha College was my second preference after lady shree ram college. The department is one of the bests on Delhi university and I m quite content with the faculty here (except a few teachers). I chose this College because i searched through various websites and specially the psychology department of this college was rated good, so that's why. The rigor with which teacher teach here is much better than other colleges and the attention and focus on practicals is also i feel more here

Faculty

3

The faculty student ratio is not good after Nep has been introduced. There are large no. Of students and only few teachers. For my course, in third year, the class strength is 88, so teacher student ratio is 1:88. The old faculty is the best faculty of my department, they are well trained and experts in their field, but the new recruitments are very poor, and have poor teaching skills. There is one end sem exam as per Delhi university guidelines and the difficulty level is average.

Interview Experience

5

No there was no such thing, as admission took place by Cuet entrance exam. So basically i had to prepare for mcq entrance exam,.then on their portal i filled college preferences and college was allotted to me based on my preference and scores

Night Life

3

The college gym is there, but it is not accessible to all, you need to pay for it, and the payment process is also not very easy, so looks quite inaccessible. The college sports complex is in very poor condition. I am not a hostel student so i don't know about night life ot hostel life. The canteen is not so good, but we have nescafe and amul which are a relief for students. The college is in north campus and have fun places to hang around nearby like Majnu ka Tile, Hudson lane and Kamla market and also metro station is just 5 mins walk, so you can travel anywhere quickly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell which comes up with lots and lots of internship and job offers throughout the year, you get multiple new job opportunities every week but the campus placement is not all that great, B Com courses have somewhat decent placements. the college doesn't push very much or try much to get students placed, you're on your own.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
