Course Curriculum Overview
I took this course because I didn't want to pursue BA in some heavily theoretical subject like political science or history. The thing about BMMMC is that it tries to cover many different subjects from completely different fields in each semester. Its downside is that you just get to touh the surface of each subject but never get to master it enough to make use of it. You will have papers like Development communication, Communication Research, Anchoring for news and radio, EVS, theatre, photography, Graphic Designing, Introduction to Journalism etc. The faculty isn't very qualified. They often hire ex students as teachers. Wouldn't name anyone but one lecturer in particular is very rude and sadistic, and she will be teaching you and over through the semesters. Though other lectures are nice and polite. Exams I gave Obe exams and they are very easy to pass.
Internships Opportunities
You are supposed to do atleast 1 internship in the 6th semester. Faculty members would help you find the one related to your interests and eligibility. There is a placement cell called JEET and it will circulate intership offers paid and unpaid throughout the year. JEET also conducts workshops that can helo you advance your career hunt.
Fees and Financial Aid
This is a self-financed course so don't expect any subsidized education from here. The fees is exceptionally high. Its 1.15L-1L annually. In my case, I felt cheated cause till the 4th semester the college continued in online mode only. We weren't allowed to use any types of equipment or infrastructure but we had to pay the full fee. Our class wrote multiple emails to the principal and others in charge but we were constantly lied to and misguided.
Campus Life
There is a big library and most books of this course are available there. There is a gym and swimming pool in college. But you need to pay an extra monthly charge for it. There are many sports teams and fields too. The classrooms are a bit dusty and old. The building and everything else is very beautiful though. There are many societies in my college for different interests like dance, theatre, music, elocution, film and photography, Hindi debate society, etc.
