Course Curriculum Overview

I am the student of ECE department as we know that ece is of the most growing field in our country and it is really helpful for the growth of our nation. Maybe if the college focuses more on practical approach rather than more emphasis on theoretical subject it will be great.

Class Size: 79Course Fees: INR 90766 per year

Placement Experience

Very big giants like Nvidia, Amazon, Google, Oracle, Tata motors, HP and a huge number of other companies visit the college in the placement season. There is a very my placement ratio. I am most likely to take a job after completion of the course

Fees and Financial Aid

There are three fee concession based on the annual family income. If the family income is below 1 lakh 100% tution fees is waived. And if the income is between 1-5 lakhs 2/3rd tution fees is waived.and if the income is above 5 lakhs all of the fees is to be paid.

Campus Life

There are a lot of clubs and societies in the college and the good part is that all of them are active in some ways, even the branch societes are very much active. A huge amount of sports facilities are available in the campus

Hostel Facilities

A two seater room is provided for accommodation. The message food provided is not so good as it is below average. The hostel room is very affordable and the message is also affordable. The hostel is inside the campus only.

Hostel Fee: INR 45000 per year

Admission

I was to take Ece or Cse branch and according to my jee rank, NIT Silchar was the best available college. And the other colleges like NIT jalandar and NIT patna I gave up because of the personal reasons

Faculty

There is a huge amount of qualified teachers studied from various Iits and Nits of our country. There are the facilities who are very much helpful. Some of the faculties of Maths and ECE department whom I met were pretty great.

Night Life

There is the Asia's biggest digital library present in our campus. There are seperate hostels for girls and boys of every year. There are several places to hangout such as tea point, gym khana park, fps, childern park etc.

Great college with decent infrastructure and a large campus

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute.The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.

Normally from third semester student become eligible campus placements but most usually take placements in fourth semester or fifth semester The percentage of getting placements are about 60% The highest package per company usually was ?80,000 per month and the average is around 20,000 Per month My plan is to get a job of a construction firm for about one year so that I can collect good amount of experience and they will hire me because I am passout from this college because this is one of the most reputed college after one year or two year, I will try for government exams or some private companies like Gautam farm, et cetera

An honest review for NIT silchar with detail analysis.

Placement Experience:

Placement of NIT silchar is pretty good. Average package is around 12 Lpa. Although after corona the placement dropped but still it is good. Many big tech companies visit during placement for full time and internship. Core companies also visits for different roles. During our placement season it happens generally after 7th semester. Generally criteria for sitting in any company varies based on cgpa and sometimes 10th and 12th marks depends on company to company generally it is 6 or 7 or 8 cgpa. Good it companies offer 20-30lpa and lowest offer was 6th lpa.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement student are eligible from 7th sem and for internship whole 3rd year 5th to 6th sem. Highest package till now is 34 lpa i guess in intuit .and lowest 6lpa.I am totally focus into doing job rsther than doing higher studies .Iam placed at Deloitte and i am happy.till now 50 percent students of civil got plsced 80 percent Cse

I chose this college mainly due to its large campus and facilites and decent placements. This college has a great alumni network and has the best clubs and societies among top colleges and also organises one of the best fests. I could have got a better college but my rank didn't allow me to secure admission into the top ones. Our college only accepts JEE Mains score as the admission criteria. I chose this college as NIT Silchar is an allrounder package, you want academics? Done! Fest? Done!! Every wing is awesome. From the very first being in my home state, it was the best college I can opt for after IIT Guwahati. I did got offers from other colleges government and semi, but NITS gave me my favourite branch and secured future. This college has a great placement records in PSUs for core branches and great IT sector companies for other branches. Courae is ergonomically designed to withstand the students potential and push up to next limits. After jossa I applied in different nits as per my rank I got electrical Engineering department. NIT Silchar is one of the prestigious nits. As per nirf ranking it comes under 7th ranking. It has one of the top digital library where there are different books available. According to campus beauty it is the best beautiful campus. It has 18 lakes and a tea garden as well.
