- Most of the faculties are good. They teach us very well.
- The campus is very good and the natural scenery is excellent. We can see whole greenery there
- The infrastructure in college is also very good.
Dislikes
- Very less girl to boy ratio. There are only 10-20 girls in each class whereas 50-60 boys.
- Some teachers are really rude. They just enjoy bullying students.
- The transportation to our college is not so good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is also good. The syllabus is same as most of the other engineering colleges. The teaching method is also good. The teachers are well enough for good teaching. Exams are conducted every 1.5 months and difficulty is medium to hard.
Internships Opportunities
I don't have much knowledge about internship in our college as I am a first year student. But, I have heard about internships form MSME. Also, Most MNCs provide 6 month internship after 7th sem. Student have to do projects in 8th semester.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible from 7th semester. Many companies visits our college including Microsoft, Amazon, Google and they provided many offers. NIT Silchar has showcased impressive placement results across various branches. In the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch, the highest package reached INR 80 LPA, with an average package of INR 24.07 LPA. For Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), the highest offer was INR 52.8 LPA, while the average stood at INR 17.05 LPA. Electrical Engineering (EE) students secured a highest package of INR 52.8 LPA, with an average of INR 12.38 LPA. In Mechanical Engineering (ME), the highest package offered was INR 45.5 LPA, and the average package was INR 9.82 LPA. The Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) branch recorded a highest package of INR 33.2 LPA and an average of INR 14.27 LPA. Lastly, Civil Engineering (CE) students secured a highest package of INR 28.8 LPA, with an average of INR 8.87 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is almost 1 lakh per semester for unreserved. Tuition fee is free for ST, SC, PWD and below 1 lakh income students. 70% off for students having annual income 1 to 5 lakhs. Campus Life
The annual tech fests held in our college are Tecnoesis and incandescence. Tecnoesis is technical fest and incandescence is cultural fest. Tecnoesis is held in November and incandescence is held in February every year. All kind of books and journals are found in our library. Our library is the largest digital library in Asia. All kinds of sport facilities are available in our college.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is very good. We are provided with a bed, a table and a chair. A almirah is available and Ethernet is available in every room. The meal quality depends on the hostel. Some hostel have good meal quality while some are not so good.
Admission
I choose this college because I was getting Computer science and engineering branch in this college. I didn't apply to other colleges as I wanted only computer science and engineering branch. The addmission process in our college is through JEE Mains and the cutoff is different for different branches.
Faculty
The number of faculties is also good. Enough faculties are present in our college. All the faculties are excellent in their subjects. In our college, 3 exams are conducted every semester that is 6 exams per year and the difficulty level is medium to hard.
Night Life
Gym is open till 8:45 pm and our college gate is open all the time. We have to enter our respective hostels at 9 pm. There are many places in our colleges for hangouts. Many lakes are available inside our college campus. There is also a children park and a Gymkhana park.
