All About NIT SILCHAR

So i am a CS student i love programming so much . this curriculum is capable to launch my career on the path of success. In first year i learnt c language in second year i will learn DSA then in third year there will be develompment part and so on. From second year there is more focus on practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge that's very good. I think that exams are really difficult and we get exams on each succesive day like 5 exams in 5 days over no holidays between them.

Internships are really good companies like microsoft, google, nvidia, soldman sachs, infosis,etc provide a good amount of internship opportunities in my college. You should have good cgpa in your exams to get good internships

The placements are good in my college. Around 200 companies visisted and 600 offers was made in 2024. Recruiters was amazon, microsoft, goldman sachs, infosis,google and many more. The highest pakage was 80 lpa in CSE and median was 24 lpa.

Free structure is as follows.. For family income less than 1 lakh or sc /st canditates there is no tution fees. Overall Total fees For family income Above 5 lakhs = 100500 Between 1 lakh to 5 lakhs = 58833 Below 1 lakh or sc/st = 38000 There is mess fees of 45000 for a year this fess will be divided into two parts 22500 per semester for a year, complusary for all students who are staying in hostel. Yes you can get all the government scholarships or other private scholarships too . You just have to apply for scholarships on time..

So you will get one of the biggest tech fests in first semester itself which is technoesis there were many tech events and comptetions in the fest. There was a live show of NIKHIL D'SOUZA at the ending of the fest.. The is also a annual fest which is incandescence in our college. If we talk about library you will get every book and other learning resources there is a great availability of books. There are many exatracurricular activities.. Sports like cricket, badminton, chess , football , kabaddi etc. Clubs like Dancing club , finance club, coding club, gdsc club, ai and ml club , singing club, dramatics society and many more.

Rooms are very good actually i was not expecting these kind of rooms. Facilities provied in rooms Good lighting Fan, table, LAN, bed, a almirah and a good spacious balcony. The meal quality is good Breakfast --> tea, bread, sprouts, chole bature, puri sabji, maggie, aaloo parantha Lunch--> dal and rice , roti , a mixed veg, rajma, dahi . snacks--> tea with pakoda or biscuit or sandwich or pasta or noodles. Dinner--> Dal and rice , soyabean, paneer,and mixed veg , roti , raita, puri( on sundays) , kheer, gulab jamun (on sundays).

So i just wanted to get into Computer science branch so i was getting this college according to my rank. I was expecting Nit allahbad but my rank was not that much. Some things beacause of what i choose this college are 1) Placements and internships are good . 2) Good campus area with beautiful lakes. 3) Not so much Ragging here. The admission process is very easy and simple , just prepare all your documents. The list of all the required documents and timings will be provided ont he college website itself.

The student faculty relation is very good in my college. Every faculy is approachable you can ask your doubts at any time. Our CS professor Dr.Ripon Patgiri is a legend . he will make you fall in love with c programming languge. He made leaning C so easy and interesting. He clear every doubt of students. There is no such professors whom i dont like. The exams are really tough you have to do hardwork and attend lectures regularly to get good cgpa.

There is a gym in my college for all year students You can go out of the college in night time also The hostel door gets closed after 10 pm but you can???? go outside if you know the right methods.. There is cafe in aur college the food there in awesome and there is a whole market with all the necessary shops . the closing time of all these is 9 PM.
