Course Curriculum Overview

4

1.i love coding i can learn it along with core subjects 2.syllabus is a lil outdated, modifications are required 3.1st year is common for all branches and we can change our branch by topping the class 4.we can learn cs subjects only from 2nd year if we follow our college curriculum 5.so we use outside resources to cope up with the delay and be on par with other college students like iits 6.difficulty level is moderate depending on the subject. 7.maintaining cgpa is difficult 8.minimum 7 cgpa is must.

Internships Opportunities

1

microsoft-1.2 lakh per month cisco-80k per month atlassian-1lakh per month accenture-80k peer month ubs-33k per month triology-40k per month optum-50k per month tech mahindra-40k per month razorpay saint goblin-35k

Placement Experience

4

1.campus intern drive from from starting of 3rd year. 2.from 7th semester students can sit for capus placements 3.top companies includes amazon, microsoft, atlassian, accenture, goldmannsachs, aws, delloitte, detueche bank, hcl tech, razorpay and many more startups also. 4.90% students get placed for sure 6.highest in 2023 was 56lpa and least was 6lpa 7.i want to get placed

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees for two semesters together is 1,92,000 rs. for each semester, I'm a hosteller so Tution fees for family annual income >5lakhs is 62,500 rs + additional charges of 11,000rs total= 73,500rs ( for sc/st/pwd and annual income < 1 lakh - tution fees is 0 with 11,000rs payable amount) ( for people with annual income between 1 to 5 lakhs, tution fees is 20,833 rs + 11,000rs payable amount) Mess and additional hostel charges are 22,500rs if you are non-hosteller then additional charges are 6,870 rs instead of 11,000rs

Campus Life

4

1.technoesisis tecnical fest during november ,incandescense cultural fest during february happens here every year . 2.deepavali ,bihu ,vinayaka chavithi, ugadi are celebrated grandly . 3.Posua, okiothaan ,deeposthav are other fests in middle of year. 4.every book required for curriculum is available in library. 5.classrooms are non-ac.we only need AC in fem months of summer though. 6.sports hall infrastucture is too bad.inter nit tournaments is conducted. 7.music,dance,drama ,literature clubs and branch societies and financial ,eco, potography clubs are present.

Hostel Facilities

3

hostel is good.1st year hostels are best and then you get shifted each year and 4 people in a room for 2nd year students and 3 per room for 3rd years and single rooms are allocated in final year according to cgpa. mess is not at all good but now its getting better hygiene is not there. washrooms are cleaned daily

Admission

1.I was getting CSE branch in nit silchar and cse from an nit gives good oppurtunities for me in the future. 2.if i choose a better college then i might not get my desired branch 3.branch over college is priority order one must follow 4.i got nit jalandar IT branch but didnot opt for it as i was unsure about it's placements records. 5.josaa counselling was held and i got this college in CSAB round-1 through my OBC category reservation and female seat. 6.i applied for cse at nit calicut but cut off was not cleared

Faculty

3

1.faculty are very much approachable but faculty to student ratio is seriously poor. 2.ninety students in one section and in a 1hr class teacher cant take care of each and everyone. 3.best faculty for me is our ripon patgiri sir who taught c programming language and DSA for aour batch. 4.he is very student frienfly teacher and is very helpful and remembers me even after coming to 3rd year and still asks me to inform him if there's any problem. 5.some professors are annoyingly strict like shyamoshree pal ma'am who teaching us graph theory. 6. five subjects for each sem and there will be a mid sem, end sem, internals and lab exams for lab subjects. 7.lessthan 10% students fail in an exam 8.they are not as tough as jee

Night Life

5

gym is there but only available for few hours for girls. canteens is hostels are saviours. library has my heart in-time restrictions for girls hostels 9:30pm daily and in fests its laid off. security is too strict night begins early in northeast ant 6pm only locality is not safe its open campus and hangout places are GH back gate and children park

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute. The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.
