Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum of Aliah is too old just like other colleges. The topics are out dated & have no use in real world applications. Syllabus need to be updated with real world problems and their solutions. There are very few smart classrooms which needs to be increased. As I mentioned, exams aren't so tough in my university.

Internships Opportunities

3

College doesn't provide internships actively. You have to look for internships on your own. However sometimes companies like TCS, Wipro come to offer paid internships. Don't hope too much for internships, rather try to focus on placements, which is very good if you consider the low fee of the college.

Placement Experience

4

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Fees and Financial Aid

The total course fee for btech (CSE) is between ?48000 - ?49000. Which includes ?6900 at the time of admission. ?5900 in even semesters & ?5850 in odd semesters. The fee of other branches of btech are nearly same. The fee of non professional courses (50+ courses available in my college) ranges between ?10000 - ?15000. Registration fee for semesters exams is ?100 only. With some additional charges for students who have a backlog. There are no other charges or fee except the ones mentioned above. Hostel fee is ?300 per month. College itself doens't provide any scholarship. However if you are a student of West Bengal, then you can get SVMCM scholarship of ?60000 per year (terms and conditions applied). I'm getting the same.

Campus Life

4

Allah is a very cultural university for Bengali Muslims. If you come from this background, then you are gonna love this University. In terms of sports, Aliah also stands well. It organises Aliah University premier league (aupl) including different sports. Aliah also organises a tech fest named AURA , where the students of different collages compete. Library of my college is quite good. Fully furnished. And you'll get almost every book you need. However there are no as such social clubs.

Hostel Facilities

5

I've not got the hostel yet. But hostel is quiet good. Only ?300 per month. You'll get every basic things you need. Like super clean bathrooms, washrooms and balcony area. Hostel have 1,2,3 & 4 bed rooms. In which you'll be provided with a bed and a study table. If you are not eligible for hostel like me, then you can easily get a pg nearby with monthly charges between ?1500 - ?2000

Admission

I come from a poor family background. That's why I chose this University, because of the low fee structure. I've also applied for Jadavpur University, Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, Kalyani Government Engineering College etc. But my rank was 6010 in wbjee, so I got this college. My college also takes its own admission exam called AUAT (Aliah University Admission Test). To appear for AUAT, you must have 45% in your class 12 exams.

Faculty

3

The faculty members are well qualified. But they are not as engaged in teaching as they should be. Faculty to student ratio is 1:6, which is good. Exams aren't so tough in my university. If you start studying a month before, then you can easily score 6 CGPA+. However some students still have a backlog. ????

Night Life

4

As I said earlier, the location of the college is good. You'll get everything you need in the radius of 500m. Plus Aliah has one cafeteria inside the campus and two canteens. The nearby area is good for hangout. Like you can visit ecopark and many more. Closing time of hostel in 11 pm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else
