B.Tech has always been the most in demand course in the country for the last decade. My passion towards computer science had driven me into pursuing Bachelors in Technology. The academic curriculum is updated to match the industry level expectations. With addition to comprehensive education, the college offers opportunities like Hackathons etc.

All the top MnC companies come here for recruiting students like TCS Wipro Cognizant etc. which offer mass recruitment in the university. Jobs offered are generally in the role of Associate Software Developer, Junior Data Analyst and similar positions.

The placement cell in UEMK is active and helpful. I being in my 7th semester have already received an offer letter from Cognizant. Other industry leaders such as TCS Wipro PWC all come here for recruiting talent.

For the 2021 batch when I took admission, the semester fees was Rs. 70000, which is now around Rs. 81000 in 2024. At the time of admission we had to pay a total of Rs. 21200 for caution money, and complete college uniform. There is also a scholarship scheme applicable to students who have scored above 80% in academics. Scholarships have a rebate on the actual semester fees which ranges from around deduction of 30-70%

My overall experience at the college was very nice. While making friends was had at first, but we all came along. With events and fests going on all around the year, this university offers a very engaging atmosphere.

The hostel is decent with both veg and non veg food options available. A menu has been decided which is followed throughout the week. The hostels are located around the New Town and Salt Lake area which are well lit and surrounded with amenities.

I, being a resident of Kolkata chose UEMK because UEMK provides the best opportunity and education in the city in comparison to other universities for B.Tech. The placement cell here is awesome and very helpful. I was also looking for colleges such as KIIT, but covid lockdown was a red flag.

The faculty members at University Of Engineering and Management are world class educators. Professors here are a hub of knowledge and experience with industry insights. There is a faculty to student ratio of 120:1 There are mid term examinations, practicals and final semester examination. The mid term and practicals are of 30 marks and the semester paper is of 100 marks.

The college is located in New Town, adjacent to St. Xavier's University. The area is well lit and under great supervision. With availability of good eateries, students won't face a hard time here. The night life is dull because the college shuts down at 5 for the students.
