Likes

Teacher are very good they interacted with us
The course details are provided to us, according to them we are moving forward
Library services are good there are large amount of books

Dislikes

Canteen service is very worst the quality is very bad
Less placement and internships, they not happening as any excursion
Overall college life enjoyment is very short

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is very huge but highly recommended as the various things we are learning also including aptitude. We have grooming classes also for preperation ourselves for interview. They try to see us in the best position

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees amount is 350000. We have some scholarship based on our 12 marks. According to the percentage some money will be deducted from our fees. Same for our batchmate also they are very interactive . They help us during our payment issue

Campus Life

The number of students are very large also they are providing tech fests, coding fests, feast yuva utsav, social curriculum. Also some competition of singing, mehendi dancing is going on. There a small playground also

Admission

My elder brother also a student of this college. He tell me that this college is very good and providing knowledge and placement so that I come to this college. There one test is given at the admission time

Faculty

Faculty members are really very interactive they give us suggestions how to get more advanced knowledge. They relate us with real life experience that helps in our future also, their suggestions are really effective

Night Life

There are several numbers of food stalls are available in the college area but the environment is not good. Some boys are there for teasing girl's. Gym facilities are provided there library book contents are also effective

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Placement Experience:

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

Placement Experience:

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

My experience at St. Xavier's

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course theory helps us gain a solid understanding of the subject matter. Film studies and Mass Communication theory classes has laid down the foundation of the subject- from what is a shot and the kinds of shots and angles, to the beginning of radio in India and essays by CS Pierce and John Berger. The course also includes practical classes in the sound labs, editing labs and we will learn to use a camera, as one of the things we will have to do in this course is make films of our own.

Brainware University is one of the best university in North 24 parganas. The placement record is very good upto 90%. This fascinated me so I log on to the university website, I filled in the necessary details after choosing BBA. Once the details were filled in, I had to submit 12th marksheet scoring 70%.
