Course Curriculum Overview
The course and curriculum is very relevant to current times. Being an economics student we deal with a lot of data which also include real time news. We can relate what we study in class to the outside world.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities vary from department to department. Most of the time we will have to find our own internship outside campus. But the faculties would help you in achieving internships. The internships primarily for my course would be research internship. Department like performing arts would provide internships in campus
Placement Experience
The placements in Christ University is very good. For my course the average package would range between 4L-10L. And the companies that come in are well known companies like Accenture, Deloitte, PWc, Wissen etc
Fees and Financial Aid
The ones studying in Karnataka have to pay 95000 per year as the fee for Masters in Applied Economics. There is a 10000 scholarship for existing christites. The fee for put of Karnataka students is around 105000. And this is subject to increase as time passes
Campus Life
Christ University lays a lot of focus on extra curricular activities. You will have to maintain a balance between extra curricular and academic life. But this can become a bit of a problem but with time it will get easier. We have a lot of clubs and a lot of organisations in campus that would promote the holistic development of the student
Admission
The admission process was pretty simple. I chose this college because of its emphasis on discipline and other parameters like the prestige, and quality. In terms of discipline i think we hold a upper hand over other universities
Faculty
The faculty are one of a kind. In my course the faculties are amazing, they teaching skills and the aida for teaching like ppts or videos are very insightful. They are very friendly too, and easily approachable. The course is divided into four semesters and the course plan for each semester is available on their website. Exam pattern is cia1, mid semester, cia 3 and end semester
Interview Experience
There was no group discussion or written test for my course. I had an online interview conducted. The questions asked were pretty simple, which included the basics of economics primarily micro and macro economics. There was also a micro presentation where a topic will be given and you will have to speak for a minute or two
