Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is relevant for us which helps us to attempt competitive exams. Actually the curriculum changes our mindset and it helps to face the real society. I don't think that improvements needes in curriculum. We get one & half hour for internal tests and 3 hours for sem exams and it is enough foe us to cover whole question paper.

Class Size: 46Course Fees: INR 7700 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

7700 rs per year for admission. And also per sem we have to pay exam fees. Some of my batchmates have a lower fee structure than us because of their SC/ST category. This year we haven't gotten an SSP scholarship yet.

Campus Life

College has started in December and in March I think we had freshers party and colours days. We had cultural day, film appreciation workshop etc... Library has very good collection of books and accessibility for everyone. Classrooms are nice and prjector is available for PPT and all. And also soon we have inter department sports days in campus. Campus life is very nice and it's like a heaven.

Admission

Actually I have given first preference to kuvempu university only and also for safer side I have selected IDGS college chikkamagaluru and Sahyadri Arts college. At the time of councelling of govt. seat for MA I got seat in kuvempu university only so joined here. They consider degree aggregate marks and I am not remembering the exact cutoff for the course but some hvae got seat from reservations like NSS, NCC and category and management quota also.There is no entrance exam for the course.

Faculty

Our faculties are too good and friendly with us and whenever we approach them they surely help us and guide us. I like all the faculties and I don't hate anyone because all are good at training us and helping us to achieve our goal. We have one internal tests and one sem exam per sem. All mos 98% students pass in exams execpt some. Curriculum is also relevant for us which helps us to track competitive exams.

IDSG Government College | Master of Arts [MA] (English)

Everyone told me that Kuvempu University is best to do MA in English and the campus is very nice and safe than IDSG college. So I gave first preference to Kuvempu University and I got seat as well.

I choose economics because it is very much relevant to the present generation as well as the previous. As economics needs analytics skills it prepares for current world. Exams were every 3-4 months frequently and it is not difficult to pass.

Placement Experience:

By the end of the 2nd semester, we are constantly notified about any vacancies in any department. The college placement cell sends us notifications through our class monitors or sometimes throyoutlr HOD. Even after the end of our final semester exam, we are added in a group that is specially meant for job opportunities and placements, where they constantly update and notify us. Out of 32 students in our class, a total of 12 students got placement. As for me, my plan is to do PhD in the said field.

My university

Kuvempu university is famous for his unique nature of learning the student... There we see the quality of education they provide with resource full highly educated professor... That's why I applied for this college.... I don't apply for any other colleges because if I want to study my msc that is in this university only.. There is online application process every year for student who want to pursue their master in KU.
