DVS Arts and Science College was established in 1966 and it is affiliated to Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta. It is situated in campus area of 2 acres. The College offers three different under graduate courses (B.A, B.Sc and B.C.A) with a variety of combinations. It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with B++ grade.

Admission:
I applied these college beacuse it is very near to my house so i applied for these college and i got admission very easily They just provide you the admission on the basis of your 12th marks The procedure for taking admission in these college is very very very easy
Admission:
The admission process was very great. I got selected in the first round as I had good marks in my PU. And I got a reduction in fee due to my nice percentage in PU. The faculty were very supportive. And during the admission process, I was informed about all the scholarships that I was eligible for. I'm happy for being a part of DVS. Those who had average marks were selected in the second and third rounds. But everyone was happy during the admission process. The fee is completely dependent on the marks you have scored in PU.
Admission:
I have applied to SRNMC and Sahyadri College. But didn't get good quality teaching as heard from seniors. So I applied to Dvs as it had good reviews. I have not applied for any quota to admission. The admission criteria are based on 2nd pic pass that can apply. There are no minimum marks required and there's no age limit for the program. The admission process is simple. Just a day process. I gave all the required documents with a Xerox copy and paid the course fees. The staff were helpful and it's a smooth process.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course curriculum is as of the university guidelines (kuvempu university) which i felt was not fair making me a beter professional reason is it only focuses on studies marks and results. One which has capability other than these will not come up in their hands
Admission:
The college at present with no doubt is the best college to study basic science in Shivamogga. It has very good environment. Situated in the center of the city it's accessible to students from all the sectors of public. It has bus facilities but owns no hostel.
